Abstract:
A Faster-Than-Nyquist (FTN)-based transmitting apparatus segments an input data bit string into a plurality of partial bit strings, simultaneously channel-encodes each of the plurality of partial bit strings, simultaneously modulates each of the plurality of channel encoded bit strings to generate a plurality of modulation symbol sequences, and then pulse-shapes and transmits the plurality of modulation symbol sequences at a speed faster than a Nyquist rate.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method and device for providing a broadcasting service, including: acquiring signaling information from a broadcasting signal received from a broadcasting network; acquiring information on a hybrid broadcasting service based upon the signaling information; and determining whether a component to be received through a communication network exists based upon information on the hybrid broadcasting service.
Abstract:
A hybrid broadcasting transmitting apparatus generates signaling information including a stream type of a plurality of broadcasting programs and a transmitting network type of the plurality of broadcasting programs, transmits signaling information and a broadcasting stream corresponding to a portion of a plurality of broadcasting programs through the communication network, and transmits signaling information and a broadcasting stream corresponding to the remaining portions of a plurality of broadcasting programs through the broadcasting network.
Abstract:
A transmitting apparatus generates a modulation pattern code corresponding to an input security key and modulates and transmits the bit stream with a corresponding modulation method for a duration of a corresponding modulation method while changing a modulation method according to the generated modulation pattern code.
Abstract:
A device for transmitting a media service in a hybrid network, which is a combination of a broadcasting network and a communication network, includes a streaming server, a streaming client, a multiplexer, and a transmitter. The streaming server generates media segments including media data and a metadata file including temporal order information and downloading and reproduction information of the media segments corresponding to a plurality of profiles. The streaming client selects a profile according to a transmission bit ratio appropriate for a broadcasting resource allocation state, requests a media segment with quality that is suitable for the broadcasting resource allocation state from the streaming server, and downloads the same. The multiplexer multiplexes part of information of the metadata file on the profile selected from among the media segment and the metadata file of the plurality of profiles to generate a baseband frame. The transmitter converts the baseband frame into a broadcasting signal and transmits the same through a broadcasting network.
Abstract:
A broadcasting transmitting apparatus splits a piece of broadcast content into an audio signal and a video signal, encodes the audio signal to generate an audio bit string, encodes the video signal to generate a video bit string, multiplexes the audio bit string and the video bit string, and modulates the multiplexed bit strings into a symbol. The encoded audio bit string is allocated to some bits of the symbol, and the encoded audio bit string is allocated to the remaining bits of the symbol.
Abstract:
A signal transmitting and receiving method and an apparatus for selecting an interference pattern from a security key and transmitting and receiving a signal based on the selected interference pattern are provided.
Abstract:
Disclosed are an apparatus and method for providing an offloading service. A method of providing an offloading service according to an example embodiment includes streaming, to a user terminal including a cellular network receiver and a broadcast network receiver, media content data through a cellular network, transmitting, to the user terminal, an offloading service providing signal for activating the broadcast network receiver of the user terminal through the cellular network, transmitting, to the user terminal, a broadcast signal including connection information of a broadcast network to which the user terminal is to be connected so as to receive the media content data, through the cellular network, and broadcasting the media content data through the broadcast network.
Abstract:
Provided are a method of buffering a media transport stream in a heterogeneous network environment and an image receiving apparatus using the same. A first transport stream corresponding to a first image through a first network is received and a second transport stream corresponding to a second image through a second network is received. The first image corresponding to the first transport stream is buffered based on a preset minimum transmission delay difference, and then the buffered first image and the second image corresponding to the second transport stream are processed.
Abstract:
An autostereoscopic three-dimensional projector includes a MicroElectroMechanical System (MEMS) processor, a virtual movable lens array, and a projection lens, the MEMS processor transfers each view image of the multiview image to a virtual movable lens array with different angles, the virtual movable lens array projects each of multiview images that are input with different angles to different locations of the projection lens, and the projection lens outputs the multiview image to a screen.
