    摘要: An arrangement and method for driving a turbomachine having a rotor is provided. The arrangement includes an input shaft rotationally coupled to the rotor. A motor generator device has a motor mode of operation and a generator mode of operation. A differential gear device having a first portion rotationally coupled to the input shaft and a second portion rotationally coupled to the motor generator device. A hydraulic assembly is rotationally coupled between the differential gear and the input shaft. The hydraulic assembly has a plurality of pistons and a pair of wobbler plates. A controller is operably coupled to the input shaft, the motor generator device and the hydraulic assembly, wherein the controller includes a processor that is responsive to executable instructions when executed on the processor for moving the pair of wobbler plates to a first position during a motor mode of operation.

    摘要: An arrangement and method for driving a turbomachine having a rotor is provided. The arrangement includes an input shaft rotationally coupled to the rotor. A motor generator device has a motor mode of operation and a generator mode of operation. A differential gear device having a first portion rotationally coupled to the input shaft and a second portion rotationally coupled to the motor generator device. A hydraulic assembly is rotationally coupled between the differential gear and the input shaft. The hydraulic assembly has a plurality of pistons and a pair of wobbler plates.     摘要: A turbine engine includes low and high pressure spools. A high power take-off shaft is coupled to the high spool. An auxiliary component, such as a generator, is configured to be driven by the high power take-off shaft at a first speed. The low spool, in part, drives the auxiliary component, for example, by interconnecting the high power take-off shaft to a lower power take-off shaft through a speed summing gearbox. The gearbox drives the auxiliary component and increases the rotational speed of the auxiliary component from the first speed to the second speed. The low power take-off shaft also drives another generator, in one example. The turbine engine can be started by the low pressure generator, for example, in response to a command from a controller, which transforms the generator into a starter motor.

    摘要: A variable speed drive (AVSD) includes an input shaft connected to receive a mechanical input from an aircraft engine and an output shaft connected to provide a speed-controlled mechanical output. The AVSD includes a first power path having a fixed gear ratio, a second power path having a variable gear ratio, and a differential coupled to combine power received from the first power path and the second power path for provision to the output shaft. A controller modifies the variable gear ratio of the second power path to regulate the output shaft of the AVSD to a desired speed.
