摘要: Interference-avoiding distance measurement is provided. A controller of a first wireless device is configured for wireless communication over a first transmission protocol with a second wireless device. One or more occupied channels of a second transmission protocol are identified, the first and second transmission protocols having overlapping frequency spectrums. A channel plan is constructed according to the occupied channels, the channel plan using a set of channels of the first transmission protocol that do not overlap in frequency with the one or more occupied channels of the second transmission protocol. Phase-based ranging is performed using data scanned via the channel plan. A distance measurement is indicated based on the phase-based ranging.

摘要: A vehicle system may include a thermal sensor; and a vehicle connectivity module in communication with the thermal sensor and a plurality of vehicle systems configured to receive an indication, from the thermal sensor, indicative of detection of a thermal event external to the vehicle, and responsive to the detection, utilize at least one of the plurality vehicle systems to perform at least one assistance feature to provide notification of the thermal event. A computer-implemented method may include activating a vehicle connectivity module responsive to detection of a thermal event external to the vehicle by a vehicle thermal sensor, confirming, by the vehicle connectivity module, the detection of the thermal event by utilizing other thermal sensor inputs of the vehicle, and responsive to the confirmation, commanding a vehicle system to perform at least one assistance feature to provide notification of the thermal event to a user.

摘要: A vehicle for improved user authentication is provided. The vehicle includes a biometric sensor; and a controller programmed to initiate a biometric authentication of a user within a vicinity of a vehicle using data received from the biometric sensor, and responsive to occurrence of a secondary trigger condition initiated by the user to gain access to the vehicle, complete the authentication to grant or deny access to the user. A system for remote management of lockout states for a vehicle is provided. A server is programmed to receive a lockout notification from the vehicle, responsive to occurrence of a failed access attempt using an access modality, the lockout notification including contextual information with respect to the occurrence of the failed access attempt; and send, responsive to the lockout notification, an indication of an administrative action to be performed by the vehicle.

摘要: A vehicle receives designation of a coverage area for deployment of a portable network comprised of a plurality of wireless-equipped toolboxes and determines a plurality of toolboxes available for use in the network based on indications to the vehicle from a plurality of toolboxes that they are usable in the network. The vehicle determines a placement of the available toolboxes within the coverage area to achieve a wireless network having at least one box location capable of reaching a location designated as a vehicle parking location with wireless communication, the location determined by the vehicle based at least in part on the ability of the vehicle to reach the location and a known cellular signal available at the location. The vehicle provides guidance for deployment of individual toolboxes of the plurality of toolboxes at deployment locations according to the determined placement.
