Abstract: The present invention provides a line-of-sight operation-apparatus, a method, and a medical device by which it is possible to appropriately determine whether a movement of a line-of-sight is intended by a user and to prevent the user from being forced to carry a burden. The line-of-sight operation-apparatus includes a display screen, a display control unit to display an icon having an animation-image on the display screen, a line-of-sight detection unit that detects a line-of-sight of a user, a following determination unit that determines, on the basis of a result of detection performed by the line-of-sight detection unit, whether a movement of the line-of-sight of the user follows a movement of the animation-image, and an output unit that outputs information indicating that the icon has been selected in the case where the following determination unit determines that the movement of the line-of-sight of the user follows the movement of the animation-image.

Abstract: It is possible for a user to easily assign a desired tag by using a voice, regardless of homonyms and synonyms having different expressions. In a digital data tagging apparatus, a tagging method, a program, and a recording medium according to an embodiment of the present invention, a digital data acquisition unit acquires digital data to which a tag is assigned, and an audio data acquisition unit acquires audio data related to the digital data. A word/phrase extraction unit extracts a word/phrase from the audio data, a tag candidate determination unit determines one or more tag candidates of which a degree of association with the word/phrase is equal to or more than a first threshold value from among a plurality of tag candidates, which are stored in advance in a tag candidate storage unit, as a first tag candidate, and a tag assignment unit assigns at least one of a tag candidate group including the word/phrase and the first tag candidate to the digital data as the tag.

Abstract: A display control unit causes an accumulation image list screen having a list of accumulation images to be displayed on a head-mounted display. A detection unit detects an eye gaze of a user directed at one of the accumulation images on the basis of a captured image from an eye gaze detection camera of the head-mounted display. A time measurement unit measures an eye fixation duration of the user for the accumulation image. An evaluation unit replaces the eye fixation duration with an interest level of the user for the accumulation image on the basis of evaluation criteria. An information accepting unit accepts the interest level as information about the eye fixation duration. An information management unit records the image ID of the accumulation image and the interest level to a storage device in association with each other as image interest-level information.

Abstract: A first detection unit detects a first gesture in which a hand of a user is moved in a depth direction of a 3D image, and outputs back-of-hand position information indicating the position of a back of the hand in the depth direction to a determination unit. The determination unit determines, on the basis of the back-of-hand position information, a layer, among a plurality of layers of the 3D image, that is located at a position that matches the position of the back in the depth direction to be a selection layer. A second detection unit detects a second gesture using a finger for changing the transmittance of the selection layer. An accepting unit accepts instruction information for changing the transmittance of the selection layer and outputs the instruction information to a display control unit. The display control unit changes, in accordance with the instruction information, the transmittance of the layer that is determined by the determination unit to be the selection layer.

Abstract: In an endoscope system according to an embodiment of the present invention, it is not necessary to touch an actual keyboard, mouse, or button to operate an endoscope apparatus, and thus it is not necessary to shift an instrument from one hand to the other hand or peel of/put on gloves in a medical setting. In addition, it is not necessary to provide a keyboard, mouse, or button for operating the endoscope apparatus, and restrictions on the arrangement of the apparatus can be reduced. Furthermore, virtual objects corresponding to an apparatus to be operated and operation details are displayed in a pseudo manner, and thus the virtual object on which an operation is to be performed can be easily determined.
