Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable media for detecting a driver's gaze direction while driving a vehicle are disclosed. At least one processor may be configured to receive image information from an image sensor, detect the vehicle driver in the image information, detect the driver's gaze direction toward a first direction in the image information, predict an amount of time it will take for the driver to shift the gaze direction toward a second direction, using information associated with the detected gaze direction of driver, and generate a message or a command based on the predicted amount of time.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for treating cognitive dysfunction in a subject in need thereof. The system can include a light source and a speaker. A visual neural stimulation system provides, via the light source, visual stimulation having a first value of a first parameter. An auditory neural stimulation system provides, via the speaker, audio stimulation having a second value of the second parameter. A stimuli orchestration component selects, for a first time interval, one of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation to vary based on a policy, selects, for the first time interval, the other of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation to keep constant based on the policy, and provides causes the one of the visual neural stimulation system or the auditory neural stimulation system to vary the one of the visual stimulation or the audio stimulation.

Abstract: Various implementations disclosed herein include devices, systems, and methods that determine whether the user is reading text or intends an interaction with a portion of the text in order to initiate an interaction event during the presentation of the content. For example, an example process may include obtaining physiological data associated with an eye of a user during presentation of content, wherein the content includes text, determining whether the user is reading a portion of the text or intends an interaction with the portion of the text based on an assessment of the physiological data with respect to a reading characteristic, and in accordance with a determination that the user intends the interaction with the portion of the text, initiating an interaction event associated with the portion of the text.

Abstract: A state of a user of a mobile terminal having a display for displaying an image may be estimated. A sightline detection detector detects a user's sightline of a mobile terminal that has a display for displaying an image. Processing circuitry is configured to estimate a state of the user including an attention function degraded state based on motion of the user's sightline with respect to the image displayed on the display of the mobile terminal.

Abstract: A method and apparatus is disclosed for testing hearing in infants based on pupil dilation response. It does not require sedation or depend on subjective judgments of human testers. Pupil dilation response to sound is measured by presenting on a display a visually engaging video containing periodic changes; presenting sounds synchronized with the periodic changes of the video; recording images from a camera directed in front of the display, where the camera is sensitive to infrared wavelengths; processing the images to measure pupil sizes; and processing the measured pupil sizes to determine, statistically, the presence of a pupil dilation response to the sounds.

Abstract: This document relates to employing biosignals to evaluate predictions made by predictive models. For example, user attention can be inferred from a user attention signal such as gaze. When the user directs attention to a prediction output by a given predictive model, a user reaction signal such as an electroencephalogram or pupillary diameter measurement can be processed to determine whether the user perceives an error. If the user perceives an error, an error indication can be output. Error indications can be used to evaluate the predictive model, replace predictions generated by the predictive model, train the predictive model, etc.
