摘要: An indication of whether or not a target object is present at a site of a collet assembly is derived by monitoring light reflected from the site. The use of reflected light enables the presence of objects to be detected, especially transparent objects. In a preferred arrangement for determining if a sapphire die is present in a die-handling collet assembly, light from a source is collimated or focused into a narrow beam and directed through a beam splitter at the target site of the collet assembly. Light reflected from the surface of the die is further reflected by the beam splitter toward a photo-sensor. The reflected light is measured when the collet passes over a dark background while on the way to deliver a die at a bonding position and again while returning after attempting to place the die at the bonding position. A determination of a die present in the former and absent in the latter is indicative of a well-placed die at the bonding position.

摘要: A system for three-dimensional reconstruction of a surface profile of a surface of an object is provided that utilizes a binary pattern projected onto the surface of the object. A binary string consisting of a series of “1”s and “0”s is first created, and a binary pattern of light that is constructed in accordance with the binary string such that bright and dark bands of light of equal widths correspond to “1”s and “0”s from the binary string respectively is projected onto the surface. The binary pattern is shifted with respect to the surface multiple times, during which an image of the binary pattern illuminating the surface is obtained at each position of the binary pattern. Thereafter, a height of each predetermined point on the surface is calculated relative to a reference plane based upon the images cumulatively obtained at said predetermined point.

摘要: A method, system and communication network for transmitting information signals via uplink (UL) collaborative SDMA, in a wireless communication system. Base station receiver estimates a channel gain associated with the transmission path(s) of each user and keeps a matrix of normalized covariance, between users. Based on the estimated channel gain and the normalized covariance, ULS utility is able to compute channel capacity. Based on capacity estimates of (1) the multiplexed user signals and (2) the individual user signals, signals are either multiplexed for UL SDMA or are transmitted individually. An optimal selection of multiplexed signals may be based upon: (1) a cross user interface measurement; and (2) a selection mechanism based on eigen-decomposition techniques. The ULS utility enables a UL scheduler to pair information signals with clear spatial distinction and minimal correlation, based on capacity evaluations.

摘要: A novel process for the preparation of omeprazole and its enantiomers, such as esomeprazole, as well as the preparation of related 2-(2-pyridinylmethyl-sulphinyl)-1H-benzimidazoles, including pantoprazole, lansoprazole and rabeprazole, as recemates or single enantiomers, and their alkali or alkaline salts has been developed. The novel process involves the surprising discovery that protection of the free-base benzimidazole sulfoxide (e.g. omeprazole or esomeprazole), by reaction with an alkyl, aryl or aralkyl chloroformate following oxidation of the corresponding sulfide, eliminates the need for its direct isolation. Subsequent removal of the protecting group with a solution of alkali or alkaline earth alkoxide in a C1-C4 alcohol directly provides the corresponding salt. By eliminating the need to handle the free-base benzimidazole sulfoxide, this advantageous procedure provides increased chemical yields over processes described in the art.
