摘要: The present invention relates to a heat exchanger unit (13) for exchanging heat between a first fluid and a second fluid. The unit (13) comprises a flow passage for the first fluid and a flow passage for the second fluid, the flow passages are connected to inlets (9) and outlets (10) of the heat exchanger unit (13) through which the first and the second fluid flow into and out of the heat exchanger unit (13). The unit (13) further comprises one or more heat transferring elements (1) having a first fluid contact surface and a second fluid contact surface through which surfaces heat is conducted from the first to the second fluid or vice versa, the contact surfaces form at least part of the flow passages, The unit (13) further comprises one or more total pressure increasing means (8) for increasing the total pressure of at least one of the fluids at least locally in the heat exchanger unit (13), and a casing (12) encapsulating the one or more heat transferring elements (1) and one, some or all of the one or more total pressure increasing means (8).

摘要: The present invention relates to a fluid processing unit through which fluid may flow while being processed. The fluid processing unit comprises a casing and one or more cassettes each comprising an outer housing being arranged so that the outer housing forms at least a part of the casing and each comprising a flow passage through the cassette. At least one of the cassettes comprises at least one fluid interaction component or is adapted to receive at least one fluid interaction component. The fluid processing unit comprises total pressure increasing means for at least partially overcoming the pressure loss due to the fluid flowing through the unit, the total pressure increasing means and one, more or all of the one or more fluid interaction components being encapsulated by the casing. The invention further relates to a cassette comprising an outer housing being arranged so that the outer housing forms at least a part of a casing of a fluid processing unit when at least two cassettes are combined to form at least a part of the fluid processing unit, the cassette further comprising a flow passage through the cassette and the cassette further comprises or is adapted to receive at least one fluid interaction component. The invention further relates to a method for providing an interaction between a fluid and an interaction component, the method comprising feeding fluid to a fluid processing unit as described above.

摘要: The present invention relates to an apparatus, which can be part of a pre-treatment system in a plant for the production of fuels, e.g. bio-ethanol, derived from plant biomass, e.g. first generation crops, such as grain, sugarcane and corn or second generation crops such as lignocellulosic biomass. The invention relates to an apparatus for processing, such as fluffing and mixing, at least two media, such as a solid, e.g. biomass, and a fluid, e.g. steam, so as to rendering the first medium susceptible to efficient receiving of energy and/or mass which is provided by localized release of the second medium. Although the description of the present invention focuses on biomass, it is envisaged that the invention is generally applicable to control the mixing of at least two media by crossing their stream of while dispersing at least one of them.
