摘要： A novel musk-based fragrance having an excellent musky fragrance is provided. 摘要： Disclosed is a method for producing an optical film composed of a transparent resin and a metal oxide, which film has high light transmittance and light diffusion property even it is formed thin. Also disclosed is such an optical film. Specifically disclosed is a method for producing an optical film having a total light transmittance of not less than 70% and a haze value of not less than 20%, which comprises a step (A) wherein a metal compound to form a metal oxide through a sol-gel reaction is subjected to a sol-gel reaction in a solvent; a step (B) for providing a solution containing a transparent resin as a solute; a step (C) for mixing the mixture obtained in the step (A) with the solution obtained in the step (B); and a step (D) wherein the mixture obtained in the step (C) is applied or spread over a substrate or container and then heated for evaporating the solvent, thereby forming a film thereon.

The fragrance composition of the present invention is a highly versatile fragrance composition that brings about an odor of natural ambergris and can attain effects to enhance warmth and an odor quality even in a small amount.

摘要： In a process for producing tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane-2-carboxylic acid ester by reacting tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]deca-3-ene with carbon monoxide and alcohol in the presence of HF, carried out separately are (a) a step in which tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]deca-3-ene is reacted with carbon monoxide to produce acyl fluoride and (b) a step in which acyl fluoride obtained in the step described above is reacted with alcohol to produce an ester. Also, the reaction conditions at the step (a) described above are selected or a step for carrying out isomerization reaction of tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane-2-carboxylic fluoride obtained at the step (a) is interposed between the step (a) and the step (b). Further, the crude product of tricyclo[5.2.1.02,6]decane-2-carboxylic acid ester thus obtained is subjected to contact treatment with specific glycol in the presence of an acid catalyst and then distilled.

A composition having gas-barrier properties, comprising a water-soluble polymer having hydroxyl group (A), a water-soluble polymer having carboxyl group (B), a metal alkoxide and/or a hydrolysis condensate thereof (C), and an esterification catalyst (E), such that the weight ratio of the component (A) and the component (B) is 97/3 to 3/97, and the component (C) is contained in an amount ranging from 1 part by weight to 400 parts by weight, while the component (E) is contained in an amount ranging from 0.01 part by weight to 100 parts by weight, relative to 100 parts by weight of a mixture of the component (A) and the component (B); and a coating film obtained by thermally treating a film-like product of the composition having gas-barrier properties.

摘要： An optical coupling apparatus having a temperature control element on which a semiconductor light emitting element, a substrate and a lens are mounted, the semiconductor light emitting element being mounted on the substrate, and rays of light from the semiconductor light emitting element being introduced into the lens. A base on which the temperature control element is disposed, a through-hole portion formed in a housing wall portion installed on the base, penetrating through the housing wall portion and having a wall surface portion longer than a thickness of the housing wall portion and an optical fiber communicated with the through-hole portion and receiving converted light from the lens introduced thereto. A length of the substrate in a direction connecting the light emitting element to the optical fiber is within a range from 0.1 to 0.25 with respect to a length of the base sandwiched by the housing walls of the substrate.
