    摘要: Disclosed is an optical transmission module in which effects of conductive heat from sides of a metal case upon a thermistor are reduced, thereby allowing steady optical beam wavelengths to be obtained over a wide range of temperatures, regardless of the temperature of the usage environment. Thereby, a transmission line or an optical module of smaller reflection loss at the bending portion thereof and of improved high-frequency characteristics is provided.

    摘要: A digital copier includes an image reading part and a printing part. The image reading part includes reading means for electrically scanning lines of image information of a document in a primary scanning direction at a predetermined cycle to output image signals for the lines; secondary scanning means for mechanically moving a primary scanning position with respect to the document at a constant secondary scanning speed V in a secondary scanning direction perpendicular to the primary scanning direction; and line thinning means for thinning out lines for the image signals to 1/N where N is an integer. The printing part prints an image on a printing medium based on the image signals supplied from the image reading part. The lines of image information of the document are copied at an arbitrary zoom ratio in the secondary scanning direction by combining a value of the integer N and a value of the secondary scanning speed V.

    摘要: An optical amplifier including an input unit, a polarization maintaining optical amplifying unit, an exciting unit and an output unit. The input unit enables receiving a first signal light in a first polarization state and a second signal light in a second polarization state different from the first polarization state. The polarization maintaining optical amplifying unit includes a polarization maintaining optical amplifying medium enabling receiving the first and second signal lights and amplifying the first and second signal lights with the first and second polarization states maintained as they are. The exciting unit provides first and second exciting lights having polarization states corresponding to the first and second signal lights, respectively, so that the polarization maintaining optical amplifying unit is capable of selectively amplifying the first and second signal lights, and the output unit enables receiving the first and second signal lights after being amplified by the polarization maintaining optical amplifying unit and outputting the amplified first and second signal lights to a transmission line.

The optical coupling system and module include a first lens for changing the emitted light into parallel rays, a beam shaping and aberration correction device for expanding or contracting a beam cross section of the parallel rays only in a horizontal or vertical direction and for correcting for aberration. Further, a second lens is provided for converging the shaped aberration corrected beam onto an optical fiber for receiving the converged light with an improved coupling efficiency. The aberration correction corrects for astigmatism.
