摘要: A system for receiving radio signals for a vehicle includes an antenna farm unit including a plurality of antennas, a plurality of amplifiers, each of the plurality of amplifiers in electrical communication with one of the plurality of antennas, and a multiplexer in electrical communication with the output port of each of the plurality of amplifiers. The system also includes a radio unit including a plurality of tuners and a demultiplexer in electrical communication with the plurality of tuners. The system also includes a transmission line for connecting the antenna farm unit to the radio unit, where the transmission line has a first terminal and a second terminal, and where the first terminal of the transmission line is electrically connected to the multiplexer and the second terminal of the transmission line is electrically connected to the demultiplexer.

摘要: A thin film, flexible, leaky-wave CPW antenna that can mounted to a dielectric substrate on a vehicle, such as vehicle glass, where the antenna has application for a MIMO LTE cellular system, and where the conductive portion of the antenna can employ transparent conductors. The antenna includes a ground plane having opposing first and second ground lines defining a gap therebetween and an antenna radiating element extending between the ground lines in the gap. The antenna radiating element includes a plurality of leaky-wave tuning stubs crossing the antenna radiating element at predetermined intervals that operates to change the radiation pattern of the antenna to be more parallel to the ground.

摘要: A dual band stacked patch antenna includes a first patch antenna arrangement coupled to and stacked on a substrate, the first patch antenna arrangement being configured to receive right hand circularly polarized signals in a first frequency band and a second patch antenna arrangement coupled to and stacked on the first patch antenna arrangement, the second patch antenna arrangement being configured to receive right hand circularly polarized signals in a second frequency band. A dielectric superstrate is stacked on the second patch antenna arrangement. Signals in the first and second frequency bands are transmitted to the first and the second patch antenna arrangements through the dielectric superstrate. A single signal feed is shared by both the first patch antenna arrangement and the second patch antenna arrangement and acts to transmit electrical signals representative of the right hand circularly polarized signals in the first and the second frequency bands.

摘要: An antenna assembly configured to be mounted on a glass structure. The antenna assembly comprises a multilayer structure comprising i) a superstrate layer comprising a thin dielectric material; ii) an antenna layer on which the superstrate layer is disposed, the antenna layer comprising an electrically conducting material; and ii) a first substrate layer on which the antenna layer is disposed. The antenna assembly further comprises a housing in which the multilayer structure is disposed. The housing is adapted for attachment to a surface of the glass structure. A dielectric characteristic of the superstrate layer compensates for a dielectric characteristic of the glass structure in order to reduce the variability of the operating frequency of the antenna assembly.
