    Abstract: A compressor device includes a housing and a rotating group with a shaft and a compressor wheel supported on the shaft. The compressor wheel includes a back face. The compressor device further includes a bearing that supports the rotating group within the housing for rotation about an axis. Also, the compressor device includes a spacer that is disposed longitudinally along the axis between the back face of the compressor wheel and the bearing. The spacer is received within a wall of the housing. Moreover, the compressor device includes a moisture removal system configured to receive and remove moisture included within a fluid flow from the back face of the compressor wheel to an area between the spacer and the wall of the housing. The moisture removal system includes a channel cooperatively defined by the spacer and the wall of the housing. The channel extends about the axis.

    Abstract: An e-charger includes a motor case that encases the motor and an outer housing that houses the motor case. The e-charger additionally includes a cooling system with passages cooperatively defined by the outer housing and the motor case. First and second longitudinal passages extend between the first and second ends of the motor, and a second longitudinal passage extends between the second and first ends of the motor. The end passage fluidly connects the first and second longitudinal passage. The cooling system is configured for directing flow of the coolant from the inlet, through the first longitudinal passage in a first longitudinal direction with respect to the axis, through the end passage, and back through the second longitudinal passage in a second longitudinal direction with respect to the axis.

    Abstract: An air pump includes a compressor having a compressor wheel mounted in a housing assembly defining an air inlet for leading air flow into the compressor wheel and defining a volute for receiving compressed air from the compressor wheel. A vaned diffuser ring is mounted within the housing assembly radially outward of the compressor wheel and includes an annular vane plate and a plurality of circumferentially spaced vanes having proximal ends rigidly attached to a first side of the plate, the vanes extending axially from the vane plate and distal ends of the vanes being disposed proximate a first wall of the housing assembly axially spaced from the plate such that a vaned diffuser passage is defined between said first wall and the vane plate. The vaned diffuser ring is embedded within the volute such that a second side of the vane plate is wetted by air within the volute.

    Abstract: A compressor device includes a housing with a cavity. The compressor device includes a rotating group supported for rotation within the housing. The rotating group includes a shaft that supports a compressor wheel proximate a first end of the shaft. A second end of the shaft extends away from the compressor wheel through the cavity of the housing. The compressor device further includes a moisture evacuation system configured to remove airborne moisture from the compressor device. The moisture evacuation system includes a shaft passage extending through the second end of the shaft and a housing passage extending through an outer wall of the housing. The shaft passage is fluidly connected to the cavity. The housing passage is fluidly connected to the shaft passage. The moisture evacuation system is configured to direct the airborne moisture from the cavity, through the shaft passage, and out of the housing via the housing passage.

    Abstract: An electrical connector arrangement for a turbomachine includes a support structure and a terminal with a terminal post projecting from the support structure along an axis. The electrical connector arrangement includes a connection stack that is supported by the terminal and arranged along the axis of the terminal post. The connection stack includes a bus bar that is electrically connected to the terminal post and that extends from the terminal post and the support structure. The connection stack includes a first deformable seal member and a second deformable seal member. The first deformable seal member is deformed against the terminal post to define an inner radial seal within the connection stack. The second deformable seal member is deformed against the support structure to define an outer radial seal within the connection stack.
