摘要: A reflective SpO2 measurement system includes a light source that emits light of at least a first and second wavelengths, and one or more detection devices forming a close detector positioned at a first distance from the light source and a far detector positioned at a second distance from the light source, wherein the second distance is greater than the first. The SpO2 measurement system is configured to operate in a high power mode to determine a calibration factor based on the comparison of light reflections detected by the close detector and the far detector. The system is further configured to operate in a low power mode to generate a low intensity light pulse, and detect a close reflection of the low intensity light pulse with the close detector. An SpO2 is then determined based on the close reflection of the low intensity light pulse and the calibration factor.

摘要: A method of monitoring a patient includes operating each of one or more wireless sensing devices to measure a physiological parameter from a patient and wirelessly transmit a parameter dataset, and receiving the one or more parameter datasets from the one or more wireless sensing devices. The method further includes calculating a patient condition index based on the one or more parameter datasets, wherein the patient condition index is an indicator of stability of the one or more physiological parameters. A measurement interval is then assigned for each wireless sensing device based on the patient condition index, and each wireless sensing device is operated according to the respective measurement interval.

摘要: A patient monitoring system includes a capacitive electrode connectable to a patient to detect an output signal and a signal generator unit that transmits a carrier signal to the capacitive electrode, the carrier signal having a carrier frequency and a carrier amplitude. The patient monitoring system further includes an amplifier unit that amplifies the output signal detected by the capacitive electrode to generate an amplified output signal. A gain determination module in the patient monitoring system determines an output amplitude of a carrier frequency portion of the amplified output signal, and determines a system gain based on a comparison between the output amplitude and the carrier amplitude. A voltage determination module in the patient monitoring system filters the output signal to isolate a physiological signal detected from the patient, and determines a voltage of the physiological signal based on the system gain.

摘要: A system for monitoring patient physiological data is disclosed herein. The system comprises a wireless patient monitoring device with a known device identity having a first sensor for retrieving patient physiological data, and a data reception device comprising a processor for processing data received via a wireless communication protocol from the patient monitoring device and a memory for storing the known patient monitoring device identity, the memory being connected to an identity input device for entering the known patient monitoring device identity. The data reception device can receive and process identification data to obtain a patient monitoring device identity and to compare said identity with the stored known identity. When the identity matches, the data reception device is allowed to receive and process the retrieved patient physiological data. The patient monitoring device comprises a visual identification and the identity input device comprises an optical sensor for retrieving the visual identification.

摘要: An ECG monitoring system includes two or more active electrodes, each active electrode having an electrode pad fixable to a patient to sense physiological potentials from the patient, a common connection port, and a wireless transmitter. The system further includes a common connector electrically connected to the common connector port of each of the two or more active electrodes to provide a comparator signal to each of the active electrodes. Each of the active electrodes compares the physiological potentials sensed at the electrode pad against the comparator signal to generate a cardiac signal, and then wirelessly transmits the cardiac signal with the wireless transmitter.

摘要: A system for monitoring blood pressure includes a blood pressure cuff, a blood pressure measurement device removably connected to the blood pressure cuff, and a cuff verification module. The cuff verification module is executable on a processor to receive medical record information from a patient, determine an expected cuff size for the patient based on the medical record information, receive a detected cuff size for the blood pressure cuff, and verify that the detected cuff size is consistent with the expected cuff size.
