    摘要: An injection apparatus for injecting an activated fluid into a well-bore comprises a reservoir 3, 103, 203, 303 containing an activation fluid AF. The injection apparatus further comprises: a valve arrangement 2, 102, 202, 302 adapted to be coupled to a pipe 6, 106, CS1, CS3 for receiving a first fluid F1 flow, a dosing and mixing arrangement 4, 104, 204, 304 coupled to the reservoir 3, 103, 203, 303 and to the valve arrangement 2, 102, 202, 302. The valve arrangement has a rest configuration in which the injection apparatus provides a non-activated fluid mixture F1″ and an activated configuration in which the injection apparatus provides an activated fluid mixture F2. The dosing and mixing arrangement comprises an engine part 31, 131, 231, 331 mechanically coupled to a pumping part 32, 132, 232, 332. The engine part runs the pumping part and the pumping part sucks the activation fluid AF of the reservoir when the valve arrangement is in the activated configuration. The dosing and mixing arrangement mixes the activation fluid AF with the first fluid and provides an activated fluid mixture flow F2 at an outlet 8, 108″, 208, 308.

Such fluids obviate the need for mechanical devices such as wiper plugs, or special adjustment of the wellbore-service fluids' rheological properties. The wellbore-service fluids may be drilling fluids, spacer fluids, chemical washes, cement slurries, acidizing fluids, fracturing fluids, formation-consolidation fluids or gravel-pack fluids.

The binding agent is designed such that the fiber bundles remain intact as the fiber bundles are mixed with and suspended in a fluid. After the fiber bundles exit the mixing apparatus, the binding agent degrades and releases the individual fibers. This allows higher concentrations of fibers to be added to fluids without fouling the mixing apparatus.

    摘要: Methods for servicing subterranean wells are disclosed. Particularly, the use of a fiber-laden fluid to separate and prevent the commingling of two stationary process fluids after placement in the borehole of a subterranean well, or in a tubular body installed in a subterranean well. The fiber-laden fluids prevent the cement plug from descending through drilling fluid to the bottom of the well. It obviates the need for mechanical devices such as packers, or special adjustment of the process fluids' rheological properties.
