The portion of the range actuating assembly is moveable, at least in part, in response to a fluid pressure. The range chamber is selectively in fluid communication with a vent. The shift inhibitor includes a main section neutral interlock having an interlock chamber. At least a portion of the main section neutral interlock is moveable between a first condition and a second condition. The interlock chamber is selectively in fluid communication with the vent. The range chamber can be exhausted such that the range section is selectively switched from the first ratio to the second ratio. The interlock chamber can be exhausted such that the main section neutral interlock is selectively switched from the first condition to the second condition.

摘要： A broadcast data receiver system is provided and a method of operating the system. The system includes a first broadcast data receiver (BDR) (2) located at a first location, typically in a premises. The BDR (2) receives video, audio and/or auxiliary digital data broadcast from a remote location via cable, satellite or terrestrial means. The BDR processes the data and displays the processed data on a display screen (10) and/or audio data via speakers connected thereto. At least a second broadcast data receiver (8) is provided at least a second location typically in the same premises. One of the first and second BDRs (2, 8) is made functional by a signal received from the other of the first and second BDRs, via a telecommunications line (4) provided in the premises and connecting the first and at least second BDRs together, thereby ensuring that both BDRs are connected before operation of the two BDRs can be achieved.

A signal strength monitoring subsystem determines which of the communication sources are transmitting the strongest signals. A power management subsystem is responsive to the signal strength monitoring subsystem and is configured to alternatively enter sleep and wake-up modes, synchronize the wake-up mode to the communication source transmitting the strongest signal, and test the signal strength of at least one additional communication source according to a predefined sequence.

摘要： The timing of an un-interruptible process in a set top box or other device can be automatically adjusted in response to user inputs to improve the user experience. A user instruction is received at an input of the user device that causes an uninterruptible process to begin or commence in the user device after a time delay measured from receipt of the initial instruction. One or more input of the device is monitored to determine whether a subsequent instruction is received within a time period. Based on this determination, the time delay applied to future un-interruptible processes is adjusted. By adjusting the time delay in response to user inputs, the time delay can be automatically matched to a user's preferences.

摘要： A method for controlling the execution of a process in a user device, such as a set-top-box is provided. An instruction is received at an input of the user device from the user and this instruction causes an uninterruptible process to begin or commence in the user device after a time delay, measured preferably from receipt of the initial instruction.
