摘要： A rectifier assembly includes first and second housings surrounding a pair of electrical rings. Each of the electrical rings communicates with a pin. Bolts secure a spring to hold diodes against an inner wall of the electrical rings. The first housing includes openings opposed to the bolts to allow access to the bolts for tightening the bolts to hold the spring, and bias the diodes against the inner periphery of the electrical rings. A rotor balance assembly, a generator, and a method of assembling a rectifier assembly are also disclosed and claimed.

摘要： A permanent magnet rotor for use on an electrical generator comprises a hub having an outer peripheral surface and an inner peripheral bore centered on an axis. The inner peripheral bore is provided with a screw thread at least over a portion of an axial dimension. Permanent magnets are mounted on the outer peripheral surface of the hub. A containment band is positioned radially outwardly of the magnets, holding the magnets and the hub together. The hub, a generator rotor incorporating the permanent magnet rotor, and a generator incorporating the permanent magnet rotor are also disclosed and claimed in this application.

摘要： A rotor for a dynamoelectric machine may include a rotor shaft having a first shaft and a second shaft within the first shaft. The two shafts include discharge orifices for communicating a cooling fluid through the machine. A rotor core of the machine includes a lamination having an annular portion that circumscribes an open center, a plurality of pole portions extending outwardly from the annular portion, and coil winding regions adjacent to the pole portions. One or more channels extend between the open center and the coil winding regions to communicate a cooling fluid. Coil windings of the machine may be at least partially encased in insulators. Each insulator may include a fluid entry orifice located between the insulator ends to communicate a cooling fluid. An end plate of the machine may include fluid discharge outlets for communicating cooling fluid received from the coil windings.

A pressure regulating valve regulates the flow of oil from the inlet port to the outlet port. The pressure regulating valve includes a valve sleeve mounted within the housing. The valve sleeve extends into a bore within the housing. A valve spool is mounted within the valve sleeve. The valve sleeve has a flange abutting an outer face of the housing. Bolts tighten the flange against the housing. An inner end of the valve sleeve extends radially inwardly to form a ledge. The ledge is spaced away from an inner face of the housing. A valve sleeve, a sense piston and a valve spool are also disclosed and claimed.

摘要： A rotating rectifier includes diode subassemblies that each have an AC contact between two diodes, held in place by a spring clip or interference fit between an inner DC bus and an outer DC bus. The outer DC bus can also act as a housing and heat sink. Diodes and resistors are distributed around the rotating rectifier. Zener diodes can be included in series with the resistors to provide further protection to the diodes to ensure proper operation of the rectifier.
