    摘要: An electric linear actuator includes an output shaft which is non-rotatable but displaceable in an axial direction and which has one end thereof coupled to a driven device; a cylindrical member arranged coaxially with the output shaft and rotatably about the output shaft, and driven by an electric motor for rotation; and a feed screw mechanism arranged between the output shaft and the cylindrical member for converting a rotating motion of the cylindrical member to a linear motion of the output shaft. The feed screw mechanism has a male spiral groove formed in the outer peripheral surface of the output shaft; a nut cylinder secured on the inner peripheral side of the cylindrical member and formed with a plurality of circular holes; and a plurality of balls accommodated in the circular holes and engaged with the male spiral groove.

    摘要: A grinding apparatus for grinding a spline ball groove on a workpiece comprises a rod-shaped grindstone, having a distal end portion with a curved surface corresponding to the groove to be ground, and a spindle mechanism for rotating the grindstone. The spindle mechanism and the grindstone are supported by means of a supporter in a manner such that they are inclined at a given angle to an axis of the workpiece. A rotary dresser, which has a dress groove corresponding to the curved surface of the distal end portion of the grindstones is disposed near the grinding apparatus. The grindstone can be reciprocated along the axis of the workpiece by a drive mechanism between the workpiece and the dresser without changing its angle of inclination.

    摘要: There is disclosed an Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 based ceramic which includes 5% to 50% by weight of a hard dispersed phase of at least one compound selected from metal carbide, metal nitride, metal carbonitride, metal oxy-carbide, metal oxy-nitride and metal carbo-oxy-nitride. The compound is represented by M(CNO), wherein M is at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr and Hf. The ceramic optionally contains 1% to 25% by weight of ZrO.sub.2, and balance Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 matrix, which contains an additive dissolved in the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 grains so as to form solid solution therewith. The additive is contained in an amount of 0.01% to 12% by weight with respect to the Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 matrix and is at least one oxide of an element selected from the group consisting of Y, Mg, Cr, Ni, Co, and rare earth elements. The Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 grains have an average grain size no larger than 1.0 .mu. m while the hard phase constituent has an average grain size no larger than 0.6 .mu. m.

    摘要: The invention is directed to a vehicle motion control system for maintaining vehicle stability by controlling the braking force applied to each wheel, in response to a condition of the vehicle in motion. A predetermined pressure increasing characteristic is provided for the hydraulic braking pressure which is supplied from a pressure control apparatus to wheel brake cylinders, on the basis of the vehicle condition, when the braking force controller initiates the control of the braking force to actuate the pressure control apparatus. And, a predetermined pressure decreasing characteristic is provided for the hydraulic braking pressure, when the braking force controller terminates the control of the braking force. The braking force controller is arranged to control the hydraulic braking pressure supplied from the pressure control apparatus to each wheel brake cylinder in accordance with the pressure increasing characteristic and the pressure decreasing characteristic to maintain the stability of the vehicle.

A seal material (24) is provided in a gap between a case (2) and the winding fixing frame (4) to prevent a refrigerant supplied to the refrigerant passage (5) from leaking to the armature winding (18) sandwiched in between the two winding fixing frames (4) to impregnate the armature winding (18) with the refrigerant. A waterproof film is adhered onto a surface of the winding fixing frame (4) where the refrigerant comes into contact.

    摘要: In a linear motor, a can has a two-layer structure including an inner can 2 and an outer can 3, and an inner passage 7 formed between an armature winding 9 and the inner can 2 and an outer passage 8 formed between the inner can 2 and the outer can 3 are constituted by each can. Communicating portions 7A and 8A for causing the inner passage 7 and the outer passage 8 to communicate with each other are provided in the vicinity of a refrigerant supply port 5 in each of the cans 2 and 3 in such a manner that a refrigerant supplied from the refrigerant supply port 5 branches into the inner passage 7 and the outer passage 8 and thus flows. Consequently, it is possible to obtain a linear motor armature and a linear motor having a high cooling capability which can prevent the deformation of the can by using a conventional inactive refrigerant to improve the passage for the refrigerant.
