摘要: Systems, methods and apparatus for regulating ion energies and ion energy distributions along with calibrating a bias source and a plasma processing chamber are disclosed. An exemplary method includes applying a periodic voltage function to a load emulator, which emulates electrical characteristics of a plasma load and associated electronics such as an e-chuck. The load emulator can be measured for various electrical parameters and compared to expected parameters generated by the bias source. Differences between measured and expected values can be used to identify and correct faults and abnormalities in the bias supply, the chamber, or a power source used to ignite and sustain the plasma. Once the bias supply is calibrated, the chamber can be calibrated by measuring and calculating an effective capacitance comprising a series and parallel capacitance of the substrate support and optionally the substrate.

摘要: This invention is a vending machine and components parts that include a sophisticated positioning system, gripper and trays for improved efficiency in product retrieval and delivery. A unique initialization and calibration system is implemented at start up to determine the positions of shelves and trays of product containers in the machine, and may be implemented at other times if trays or shelves are added or removed, or if tray or shelf positions change. These positions are then used by the positioning and gripping systems to accurately and efficiently retrieve products from the trays. Related methods are also disclosed

摘要: The present invention relates to the albumin-guided development of coumarin analogs and the analogs developed thereby. The coumarin analogs of the present invention are identified and isolated by the fact that they have binding sites to albumin which are different than the binding sites of conventional coumarin analogs such as sodium warfarin, and as a result will be less prone to be displaced since the binding site of sodium warfarin is shared by numerous drugs such as aspirin. The coumarin analogs of the invention are advantageous because they can achieve the effects of the prior coumarin analogs with a minimum of metabolic complications and undesirable side effects.

摘要: A method is provided for increasing the safety and efficacy of albumin-binding drugs such as those used as anti-cancer, anti-infective, or anti-hypertensive drugs, or for numerous other conditions. In the preferred method, the invention modulates those drugs which bind at the IB site on human serum albumin by co-administering a compound which is highly tolerable to humans and which can bind competitively with those albumin-binding drugs at the IB binding site so as to increase the safety and efficacy of the drug. The invention is advantageous in that by administering the highly tolerable compound in a sufficient amount to compete with the targeted drug, the latter can be administered at a much lower dosage while maintaining or exceeding its potency. Compositions containing the combination of highly tolerable compound and albumin-bind drugs are also disclosed.

摘要: A method is provided for identifying and isolating peptides capable of binding of inorganic materials such as silica, silver, germanium, cobalt, iron, or oxides thereof, or other materials on a nanometric scale such as carbon nanotubes, using a combinatorial phage display peptide library and a polymerase-chain reaction (PCR) step to obtain specific amino acids sequences. In the method of the invention, a combinatorial phage display library is used to isolate and select the desired binding peptides by a series of steps of target binding of phage with the nanometric material of interest, elution and purification of the bound phages, and amplification using PCR to determine the sequences of phages producing the desired binding peptides. The binding peptides of the invention are particularly advantageous in that they may be used as templates to guide the development of useful structures on a nanometric scale.

摘要: A plasma measurement device comprises data sensors for sensing properties of the plasma environment together with diagnostic sensors for measuring properties related to the functional integrity of the measurement device. Events reported by the diagnostic sensors of the invention may be interpreted as failures of the measurement device, as warnings requiring operator attention or intervention, or alternatively may be employed as data in a predictive algorithm to estimate the remaining useful lifetime of the device. By providing an ability to detect events indicative of faults or failures in a plasma measurement device during use of the device, the invention provides enhanced certainty and confidence in the integrity of data collected by the plasma measurement device.
