摘要:
Disclosed is a thermally sensitive imagable article and compositions therefor. The imagable article comprises a coating on a substrate, the coating comprising an amino acid or amide, and a compound capable of generating an acid upon heating. The coating optionally comprises a radiation absorbing compound. When imagewise exposed the coating has the property that exposed regions become relatively insoluble in a developer liquid whereas regions that have not been exposed remain relatively soluble in the developer and dissolve in the developer, leaving the exposed substrate in those regions.

A method of processing a lithographic printing plate which comprises the steps of exposing, developing and baking the plate, in which a pre-baking liquid is applied to the plate prior to the baking step, and which is not tacky, has a long storage life, and does not require rinsing with water after baking. The pre-baking liquid includes one or more of a sulphosuccinamate or sulphosuccinate and a type and present in an amount sufficient to form a non-water soluble baked coating on the developed plate which acts as an effective barrier to contaminating material tending to come into contact with the developed areas of the plate during the baking step, and which has no adverse reaction with the image and non-image areas and allows the plate to be baked, and thereby to improve the durability of the processed plate for use on a press. The baked coating is removed subsequently by an alkaline solution.

Automated systems and methods provide for enhanced management of components of fire safety systems. Components are identified which require action to ensure compliance with a schedule associated with the components. User and/or electronic output is generated that identifies components and required actions, such actions including inspections, functional testing, maintenance and calibration activities. A record of the identified components may be stored in a system log along with maintenance information. The system log may be reviewed against the schedule based on conformance to ordinances or maintenance requirements. Required actions may be annunciated for the identified components, and the system log may be updated to indicate actions performed on system components. Components may be identified that will require action within a predetermined timeframe and an alert or report may be generated for components that are not in compliance with their associated schedule.

An antenna system includes an antenna feed aligned with a subreflector and a main reflector. The subreflector has a concave surface defining a vertex. A main reflector having a concave surface is aligned with the subreflector to define an antenna focal area at the vertex of the subreflector. The antenna feed may be a phased array or fixed antenna feed. The antenna system may further include a controller cooperating with the phased array antenna feed for beamsteering or beamforming. The controller may cooperate with the phased array antenna feed to define and steer multiple beams, at different frequencies, for example.
