摘要： A novel controller in an electrical smoking system and method, wherein the method includes the steps of: establishing a preferred thermal pathway to be executed with each heater activation responsively to a puff on an electrically heated cigarette; configuring a power cycle in accordance with the desired thermal pathway; dividing the power cycle into at least first and second phases each having a respective, predetermined time period and total energy input for each phase; and adjusting a respective duty cycle (or other power-adjusting factor) in each phase of the power cycle responsively to a voltage reading of the power source such that the established, respective total energy input of each phase is achieved during the time period of each power cycle.

摘要： A method and system for assigning unique words in an SDMA (spatial division multiple access) communication system is disclosed. A base station has a set of available unique words from which to select and assign unique words. The base station prioritizes the set of unique words by determining which unique words are likely to interfere with adjacent base stations, and setting those words to a low priority. In this way, over time, the base station assigns unique words that have a lower level of correlation to allow for better signal differentiation and improved communication sensitivity. When a mobile device enters a base station's geographic area, it generates an establish request message that indicates what unique word it is using in the adjacent cell. The base station extracts this unique word, and sets it to a low priority in its set of unique words. The base station is therefore able to assign unique words that facilitate improved communications.

摘要： When a deviated gravity disc is reproduced at a higher rate with the disc reproducing apparatus, an excessive vibration is generated and this vibration gives adverse effect on the disc reproducing apparatus and peripheral components/apparatuses, and/or may represent an annoyance to a user. A vibration information detector for detecting vibration of the disc reproducing apparatus or a deviated gravity information detector for detecting amount of gravity deviation of disc is provided, and as a result of such detection of an imbalance (i.e., excessive vibration or mass eccentricity), and a reproducing rate switching control controls sets and limits the reproducing rate of the disc reproducing apparatus to a substitute speed which is lower or higher than a normal reproducing speed.
