Abstract:
A data processing system holds metadata extraction dictionary information defining a condition for extracting metadata from a plurality of kinds of data and relevance dictionary information defining a condition for associating the metadata extracted from the plurality of kinds of data, extracts the metadata from the plurality of kinds of data on the basis of the metadata extraction dictionary information, extracts metadata from inputted data, associates the metadata extracted from the inputted data with the metadata extracted from the plurality of kinds of data on the basis of the relevance dictionary information, and outputs information indicating a relation of any combination of the plurality of kinds of data, the inputted data, and the metadata extracted from the plurality of kinds of data and the inputted data on the basis of a result of the association.
Abstract:
A first storage apparatus determines whether to execute bulk requesting of causing a second storage apparatus to group a plurality of actual files corresponding to a plurality of stub files into one bulk data and transmit the bulk data. When determining to execute the bulk requesting in the determination, the first storage apparatus transmits a bulk request to the second storage apparatus. The second storage apparatus that has received the bulk request groups a plurality of actual files into one bulk data based on the bulk request, and transmits the bulk request to the first storage apparatus. The first storage apparatus that has received the bulk data extracts the plurality of actual files corresponding to a plurality of stub files, from the bulk data.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a system for realizing both the operation of archive and sharing of contents capable of maintaining a privacy policy of critical data. In order to realize the system, a disclosure condition to a data reference destination and a data conversion method of the file data are designated, and only the file data matching the disclosure condition is provided to the data reference destination by anonymizing the file data via the data conversion method. When the disclosure condition or the data conversion method is changed, an already disclosed file data is deleted, or replaced with the file data subjected to data conversion after the change.
Abstract:
A second storage unit stores a first piece of data and second pieces of data. Each of first storage units holds configuration information indicating association between the first piece of data and the second pieces of data associated by first computers. Each of the first computers receives a second piece of data and register information of the received second piece of data in the configuration information, instructs a second computer to store the received second piece of data in association with the first piece of data, and identifies a second piece of data to be acquired from the second computer based on the configuration information in acquiring the second piece of data. The second computer, in accordance with instructions from the first computers, stores the second pieces of data in the second storage unit in association with the first piece of data.
Abstract:
A data management apparatus includes a storage unit which stores a first database for retaining structured data in which a plurality of data features are structured based on attributes and attribute values, and a second database for retaining unstructured data in file units, and a control unit which combines the structured data and the unstructured data and manages the combination as virtual structured data which is accessed during an execution of a search query to the second database, uses attribute values of virtual attributes of the virtual structured data as values that were extracted from files of the second database based on predetermined information extraction rules, and updates the attribute values of the virtual attributes of the virtual structured data when the files of the second database including the unstructured data are updated.
Abstract:
A file storage stores a client file (a file from a client) in a first file system (FS), stores metadata of the client file in a backup file in a second FS, and backs up the backup file to the first FS at a backup process start time. The file storage creates consistency file management information specifying a backup file having been backed up and a client file at that time point, acquires, when a file specified by the consistency file management information is transmitted to an archive storage apparatus, data identification information for identifying the transmitted file in the archive storage apparatus, and associates the data identification information with the transmitted file.
Abstract:
A computer system including a shared file server manages the access to file data for performing access to the file data accurately and efficiently. This computer includes a plurality of first name spaces to which is assigned an access path to data stored in a storage area, and a name space to which is assigned a path corresponding to the access path and which is different from the first name spaces. When the access paths generated in different first name spaces are the same, the corresponding paths which correspond to the same access paths are changed into mutually different paths. Moreover, by assigning a path corresponding to the data to be analyzed, it is possible to efficiently access the requested data among a large amount of data. In addition, the sorting of the corresponding paths is changed according to the load of the computer storing the data.
Abstract:
If a failure occurs in physical resources constituting a virtual volume, a management server device is notified of information required by a user. A computer system includes a server device for managing a plurality of virtual volumes, a storage apparatus having a storage unit equipped with a plurality of storage devices, and a controller for controlling data input to, or output from, the storage unit, a management server device which is an access target of a user terminal, and an event management device for managing an event(s) generated by the server device or the storage apparatus, wherein when the event management device receives the event, it judges the content of the event and identifies a virtual volume to be affected by the event; and if a service level that should be satisfied by the identified virtual volume is defined for the identified virtual volume, the event management device identifies, based on the content of the received event, whether an incident in violation of the service level has occurred or not, and then notifies the management server device of the identified content as an event based on an event filter.
Abstract:
The server device includes: an allocation unit for allocating a unique identifier to each of first data and second data; a management unit for managing a correspondence between the identifier and a method for accessing the first data or second data identified by the identifier; a presentation unit for presenting the identifier managed by the management unit to the client device; a conversion unit for converting an identifier-specifying request for access to the first data or second data from the client device into a method for accessing the first data or second data corresponding to the identifier using an access method associated by the management unit with the identifier; and a data access unit for requesting access to the first data or second data using the access method converted to by the conversion unit, and sending an access result to the client device.
Abstract:
A search system using a table search server and a file search server as transmission destination candidates for search queries, wherein search speed is assumed to be higher for a search in the form of file data than for table data, the table data is converted to file data and stored in the file search server. Created are a search query history management table for accumulating and depositing search query history, and a characteristic determination rule management table for managing the rules of determining that the search speed is higher for a search made in the form of file data than for table data. The search system applies the characteristic determination rules to the search query history and specifies the table data. The search system acquires the specified table data from the table search server, converts the data to file data, and stores the data in the file search server.
