Abstract: An electric motor includes a housing, a rotor, a stator, a storage tank, and a communication passage. The stator has a stator core provided coaxially with the rotor to surround the rotor. The storage tank is provided at a lower portion of the housing to store lubricating oil and divided by the stator core into a first storage tank and a second storage tank. The communication passage is provided to communicate the first storage tank with the second storage tank. The communication passage, as seen in an axial direction, extends above an oil level of the lubricating oil stored in the first storage tank and the second storage tank such that an air flows between an upper portion of the first storage tank and an upper portion of the second storage tank.

Abstract: A method for joining segments (electrical conductors) includes first and second joining steps. The first joining step includes welding a group of the segments including ends, such that the first group is welded to pairs of electrical conductors. The second joining step includes welding a second group of the segments including ends, which are composed of the segments whose ends are arranged in a column in the radial direction, such that the second group is welded to pairs of electrical conductors. Abstract: A air pressure adjuster includes: a rotary electric machine; a casing housing the rotary electric machine hermetically; and an in-casing air pressure adjuster for adjusting an internal air pressure using a drive force generated a difference between the internal air pressure and an outer pressure of the casing. The in-casing air pressure adjuster discharges the air from the inside of the casing to the outside of the casing when the internal air pressure is higher than the external air pressure by a first predetermined value.
