The methods and systems involve obtaining lookahead information and current state information, wherein the lookahead information includes a predicted vehicle speed, and the current state information includes a current state of charge (SOC) for the energy storage device coupled to the electric motor; and determining, based on the lookahead information and the current state information, a target power split between the energy storage device and the engine.

摘要: An embodiment oil temperature control system for an electric vehicle includes a heat exchange unit that performs heat exchange between an oil for cooling a driving motor and a coolant, a temperature sensor including an oil temperature sensor or an outside air temperature sensor, a controller that receives a signal from the temperature sensor to determine whether a heat generation mode entry condition to cause a power electronic part to generate heat is satisfied and operates the power electronic part in a heat generation mode when the heat generation mode entry condition is satisfied, and a cooling system that allows the coolant used to cool the power electronic part operating in the heat generation mode to circulate through a passage penetrating the heat exchange unit so that the coolant exchanges heat with the oil in the heat exchange unit.

摘要: When the voltage value of the capacitor included in the PCU is equal to or higher than a predetermined value, the vehicle power supply device turns on both the positive switching element and the negative switching element corresponding to one of a plurality of resistors so as to activate the one resistor connected to the initially disabled PCU. In addition, the vehicle power supply device turns on both the positive switching element and the negative switching element corresponding the other one of the resistors so as to deactivate the one resistor and activate the other one resistor based on a predetermined condition.

摘要: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for detecting foreign objects. In one aspect an apparatus for detecting a presence of an object is provided. The apparatus includes a resonant circuit having a resonant frequency. The resonant circuit includes a sense circuit including an electrically conductive structure. The apparatus further includes a coupling circuit coupled to the sense circuit. The apparatus further includes a detection circuit coupled to the sense circuit via the coupling circuit. The detection circuit is configured to detect the presence of the object in response to detecting a difference between a measured characteristic that depends on a frequency at which the resonant circuit is resonating and a corresponding characteristic that depends on the resonant frequency of the resonant circuit. The coupling circuit is configured to reduce a variation of the resonant frequency by the detection circuit in the absence of the object.

摘要: An ultra low cost electric vehicle heating apparatus, components thereof, and related method are herein described. A driver circuit operates a switching device at an intermediate state between fully-turned-off and fully-turned-on, in a high power dissipation heating mode, to efficiently produce heat energy for heating a passenger compartment, or energy storage system, of an electric vehicle. The driver circuit operates the switching device to have a fully-turned-off state and a fully-turned-on state in a main function mode for a traction inverter or an energy storage system charger of the electric vehicle. The driver circuit is operable to cycle the heating mode and the main function mode for combining such heating and such main function operation of the traction inverter, or the charger, without compromising the operation of the traction motor, or charger, while simultaneously eliminating many of the expensive resistive heating components in use by practitioners of the art.

The control unit is configured, when a high temperature request for increasing a temperature of the particulate matter removing filter to a prescribed value or higher is issued, to control the driving circuit such that a loss of the driving circuit increases and to control the engine such that power greater than power at a time when the high temperature request is not issued is output from the engine.

摘要: A power conversion module for a vehicle is provided. The module includes a housing and a power conversion unit installed on an inside surface of a bottom panel of the housing. The power conversion unit includes a capacitor module, a power module of an inverter and a LDC. A water-cooling-type cooling unit is installed on an outside surface of the bottom panel of the housing and is in a corresponding position to the power module of the inverter and the LDC, with the bottom panel of the housing interposed therebetween. An air-cooling-type cooling fin is installed on the exterior surface of the bottom panel and is in a corresponding position to a capacitor module, with the bottom panel of the housing interposed therebetween. A radiator blower adjacent to a radiator of a vehicle is configured to generate cooling-air wind to cool the radiator and the air-cooling-type cooling fin.

摘要: An object is to reduce a discharging time required for discharging residual charges of a capacitor. A power conversion device according to the present invention includes: an inverter circuit unit; a step-up circuit unit; a smoothing capacitor; and a step-up circuit control unit which controls the step-up circuit unit, wherein the step-up circuit unit has a first switching element, a second switching element connected electrically in series to the first switching element, and a reactor having a conducting current controlled by switching operation of the first switching element and the second switching element, and the step-up circuit control unit has a first control mode of controlling the switching operation of the first switching element and the second switching element by changing a duty command value and outputting a stepped up voltage from the step-up circuit unit, and a discharge control mode of discharging electric charges stored in the smoothing capacitor into the reactor, with the duty command value fixed to a predetermined value.

摘要: A vehicle includes an inverter, a motor, a transmission, and a modulator. The inverter performs pulse width modulation processing at a predetermined carrier frequency. The motor is supplied with electric power from the inverter. The transmission changes the number of revolutions of the motor, and transmits rotary power of the motor to one or more driving wheels. The modulator controls the pulse width modulation processing performed by the inverter, and changes the carrier frequency of the pulse width modulation processing, to offset a change in a frequency of a sideband component out of frequencies of a carrier sound. The carrier sound is generated in the motor or the inverter, or both, accompanying a stepwise change in the number of revolutions of the motor on a condition that the stepwise change is made by the transmission.
