Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for distributed vehicle navigation processing for a vehicle. For instance, the method may include: by the vehicle: obtaining reference data from one or a combination of an imaging system, an antenna system, and/or a radar system of the vehicle; in response to obtaining the reference data, determining whether a GNSS signal is below a threshold; and in response to determining the GNSS signal is below the threshold, transmitting a navigation supplementation request message including the reference data to an edge node or a cloud node. By the edge node or the cloud node: in response to receiving the navigation supplementation request message from the vehicle, performing a position resolution process to determine and transmit a position of the vehicle by one or more functions. By the vehicle: performing a navigation control process based on the determined position.

Abstract: Systems and methods for creating a custom approach procedure are provided. The systems and methods receive a plurality of user entered waypoints constituting a provisional custom approach procedure from a user interface. A three-dimensional (3D) flight path is constructed connecting the way points with the constraint that the 3D flight path is a descent path with no climb segments. Terrain data along the 3D flight path is obtained from a terrain database. The 3D flight path is assessed with respect to the terrain data to detect one or more terrain conflicts. An output is generated and provided to the user interface based on the detected one or more terrain conflicts.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for performing impact assessment of avionic parameters. External data that impacts a plurality of avionic parameters associated with a flight plan is received. Current states of each of the avionic parameters are received from at least one avionic sub-system. An impact state of each of the avionic parameters based on an impact of the external data on the current state of each of the avionic parameters is generated. A cockpit display including the impact state of at least one of the avionic parameters and an associated selectable impact detail option is generated. A determination is made regarding whether the selectable option associated with one of the at least one of the avionic parameters has been selected via an onboard input device. An impact detail display associated with the selected avionic parameter is generated based on the determination.

Abstract: A flight deck system includes a cockpit display device on which an airport display is displayed and a controller. The controller is configured to generate a runway condition graphic having at least three different segments to be overlaid over or positioned adjacent to a depiction of a runway on the airport display, wherein each segment of the runway condition graphic is associated with a different segment of the runway and configured to provide a graphical indication of a contaminant condition for the associated segment. The controller is further configured to categorize the contaminant condition of each segment of the runway; visually code each segment of the runway condition graphic in a manner that is representative of the contaminant condition category for its associated segment of the runway; and cause the generated runway condition graphic to be overlaid over or positioned adjacent to the depiction of the runway on the airport display.

Abstract: Systems and methods for coordinating with a flight management system (FMS) on-board an aircraft to determine whether a flight plan (FP) change generated by an external device is valid. The method includes generating the FP change, which includes a deviation to the intended FP and a savings parameter associated with a parameter of the intended FP, responsive to weather data and aircraft state data; generating a lateral display showing the intended FP and an alphanumeric window with the FP change; transmitting the FP change to the FMS; receiving, from the FMS, a travel path and a calculated parameter for the travel path, generated by the FMS responsive to the FP change; determining whether the travel path realizes the savings parameter by comparing the calculated parameter to the savings parameter; and, displaying either a selectable graphical user interface (GUI) object to implement the FP change, or a warning based thereon.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for automatically forecasting service issues for an aircraft. The method accesses a service issue database that contains retrievable data regarding service issues for the aircraft. An operation flight plan for the aircraft is accessed including specific planned flight operations. The mission state of the aircraft is predicted based on the specific planned flight operations. A correlation is generated between the specific planned flight operations and any related service issues stored in the database. An advisory is generated for a crewmember of the aircraft that details any flight deck impact, avoidance procedures and mitigation procedures for the related service issues. The advisory, the flight deck impact, avoidance procedures and mitigation procedures are displayed in a graphic format to an aircrew member.
