Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to a coordinator network node and one or more network access nodes interworking in a wireless communication system. The coordinator network node determines a joint resource allocation area (ΩUE) based on measurement messages from network access nodes. The determined joint resource allocation area (ΩUE) is thereafter transmitted to the network access nodes. Thereby, the coordinator network node enables to determine the portion of the first or the second service areas that are free from interference from neighbouring network access nodes where each network access node can perform resource allocations independently. It further enables to determine/identify the joint resource allocation area where neighbouring network access nodes significantly interfere each other. Therefore, e.g. resource allocation in the system can be improved. Furthermore, the disclosure also relates to corresponding methods and a computer program.

Abstract: The invention relates to devices in a wireless network transmitting uplink beacons such as a network node comprising a transceiver for communication with at least one User Equipment, UE. The network node is configured to receive an at least one uplink beacon corresponding to the at least one UE, and to determine a group comprising at least a first UE and a second UE, based on received uplink beacons from the first UE and the second UE. The network node is also configured to determine uplink beacon reconfiguration for each UE in the group, comprising information specifying a group uplink beacon, and information specifying a UE configuration for the UEs of the group, indicating each UE of the group either as being a UE for sending said group uplink beacon, or as a UE for receiving said group uplink beacon.

Further the network node (110, 120, 130) comprises a processor (620), configured to allocate at least one radio access resource to the mobile station (140), based on the received parameter values. In addition, the network node (110, 120, 130) comprises a transmitter (610), configured to inform the mobile station (140) of the at least one allocated radio access resource.

Abstract: An apparatus for assigning a plurality of access nodes of a wireless communication network to control areas includes a processing apparatus. The first control phase is a period of time during which the assignment of access nodes to control areas remains constant. The processing apparatus is configured to, when changing from the first control phase to a following second control phase, reassign at least a subset of access nodes which were assigned during the first control phase to a first control area to a second control area and reassign at least a subset of access nodes which were assigned during the first control phase to a third control area to the first control area.
