    摘要: A system and method for storing document data in a serialized binary format recognition lattice structure so that the data is accessible to other applications. The lattice structure is generated that includes root node data. Child nodes correspond to columns of the recognition lattice. Each node includes a descriptor that is a collection of flags indicating presence of specific components of the node. The child nodes may include grandchild nodes with similar structure corresponding to elements within the columns. Each node further includes property information associated with the node. The recognition lattice is stored in a serial binary data format.

    摘要: A reflow tool employs layout information from an ink analyzer to determine a relationship between different units of electronic ink, such as words. The reflow tool then collects this relationship information into an ink relationship data structure for later use. When the reflow area containing the electronic ink is resized, or when an edit space is inserted into or deleted from the electronic ink, the reflow tool uses the relationship information from the data structure to intelligently segment the electronic ink for reflow. In this manner, the reflow tool ensures that units of electronic ink, such as words, which are associated with larger groupings of electronic ink, such as paragraphs, are not segmented from those larger groupings to which they belong.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention relate to systems, methods and computer storage media for erasure coding data in a distributed computing environment. A sealed extent is identified that is comprised of two or more data blocks and two or more index blocks. The sealed extent is optimized for erasure coding by grouping the two or more data blocks within the optimized sealed extent together and grouping the two or more index blocks within the optimized sealed extent together. The optimized extent may also be erasure coded, which includes creating data fragments and coding fragments. The data fragments and the coding fragments may also be stored in the distributed computing environment. Additional embodiments include monitoring statistical information to determine if replication, erasure coding or a hybrid storage plan should be utilized.
