C. within a period of at least 40 minutes.In form of their aqueous dispersions, the condensation products are suitable for oil- and water-repellent finishing of fibrous, preferably textile materials.

The present invention relates to a process for obtaining wash- and cleaning-resistant textile finishes by impregnating with customary reactive perfluoroalkyl-containing (co)polymers and/or precondensates in aqueous dispersion and concluding heating, wherein the dispersions have NCO-containing compounds which have a molecular weight of at least 450 and/or contain a diphenylmethane-based polyisocyanate mixture in blocked form.The process according to the invention has made it possible to equip textiles with water-repellant and oil-repellant finishes which are very highly wash- and cleaning-resistant.

New fluorine-containing organopolysiloxanes are provided which are obtained by reaction in known manner of organopolysiloxanes which contain hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon, a perfluoroalkyl compound for the formulaR.sub.f -- SO.sub.2 -- NH -- CH.sub.2 -- CH = CH.sub.2wherein R.sub.f represents perfluoroalkyl with 6 to 14 carbon atoms, and optionally a fluorine-free vinyl monomer. These new addition products are useful as oil- and water repellents for fibrous textile materials.

The invention provides a process for the manufacture of addition products from nitrogen containing compounds which contain at least one ethylenically unsaturated radical and organopolysiloxanes which contain hydrogen atoms bonded to silicon, and a process for treating fibrous materials with the resultant addition product composition. The process comprises adding to the organopolysiloxanes allylmelamines, allylguanamines, monoallyl- or diallylureas, monoallyl- or diallylthioureas or cyclic urea derivatives which contain at least one ethylenically unsaturated radical. The addition is carried out in the presence of methylolated aminoplast formers which can also be etherified with lower alcohols, or in the presence of the cited unsaturated compounds in their methylolated form. The unsaturated compounds can also be used direct in methylolated and etherified form. The resultant addition products are used in an aqueous emulsion or an organic solvent for the treatment of fibrous materials. The treated materials are provided with a good wash-resistent water repellent finish.

A process for the production of modified polymers, preferable in organic solvents, by radical-initiated polymerization of(Ia) 70 to 99.9 parts by weight of esters of the formulaCH.sub.2 .dbd.C(R)--COOR' (Ia) in which R is --H or --CH.sub.3 and R' are 1 to 18 C-alkyl radicals, at least 50% by weight of the esters of (Ia) being those in which R' are 1 to 4 C-alkyl radicals,(Ib) 0, 1 to 20 parts by weight of .omega.-hydroxyalkyl esters of acrylic, methacrylic, maleic and/or fumaric esters, the said dicarboxylic acids are possibly etherified on the second carboxylic group with 1 to 12 C-atoms containing alcohols and(Ic) 0 to 10 parts by weight of other unsaturated monomers, the sum of (Ia), (Ib) and (Ic) amounting to 100 parts by weight, in the presence of(II) 5 to 40 parts by weight of terminal blocked alkyl-hydrogen polysiloxanes, the alkyl radicals containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, with a viscosity of 20 to 1000 cP at 20.degree. C., the ratio of alkyl radicals to hydrogen atoms thereof being from 13 : 1 to 1 : 1, in which ratios the terminal groups are not included. Organic solvents containing the obtained modified polymers and usual curing agents for alkyl-hydrogen polysiloxanes are useful for treating fibrous material to give water-tight and water-repellent effects.

While good oil-repellency can be imparted to fibre materials by treating them with polymers containing perfluoralkyl groups, it is difficult to impart water-repellency to the fibre materials at the same time and also give the treated materials a good handle.
