    摘要: Method for preparing and using thermoplastic polyether ester amides with units of the starting components randomly distributed in the polymer chain. A mixture of:I. one or more polyamide forming compounds from the group of the omega-aminocarboxylic acids and/or lactams having at least 10 carbon atoms;II. an alpha, omega-dihydroxy-(polytetrahydrofuran) having an average degree of polymerization of between about 2 and 42 or a molecular weight of between 160 and 3,000; andIII. at least one organic dicarboxylic acid is heated in a weight ratio of I to (II+III) of between 30:7 and 98:2. In (II+III) the hydroxy and carboxy groups are present in equivalent amounts. The heating takes place in the presence of 2-30% by weight of water, based on the polyamide-forming compounds of component I, under the internal pressure attained in a closed container at temperatures of between 230.degree. and 300.degree. C. Water is removed as steam and after removal of the water, the product is further treated at 250.degree.-280.degree. C. with the exclusion of oxygen under normal pressure or under reduced pressure.

    摘要: Thermoplastic molding compositions having improved flexibility and cold impact strength, comprising a mixture of:I. at least one polyamide from omega-aminocarboxylic acids or lactams having at least 10 carbon atoms; andII. at least one polyether ester amide with units of the starting components randomly distributed in the polymer chain produced from:(a) omega-aminocarboxylic acid or lactams having at least 10 carbon atoms,(b) alpha, omega-dihydroxy(polytetrahydrofuran) having a molecular weight of between 160 and 3,000 and(c) a dicarboxylic acid.The mixture contains about 95 to 20 percent by weight of component I and about 5 to 80 percent by weight of component II.

    摘要: Block copolyester amides having improved properties are applied as thermoplastic adhesives to textiles. Their melting points are between 80.degree. and 135.degree. C. and the block copolyester amides are prepared by polycondensing:(A) 60 to 95% by weight of a block polyester having terminal hydroxy groups and consisting of at least 50 molar % of the acid proportion of terephthalic acid and 40 to 90 molar percent of an alcohol proportion of 1.4-butanediol and 60 to 10 molar percent of 1.6-hexanediol, wherein up to 10 molar percent referred to 1,6-hexanediol can be replaced by aliphatic diols with longer chains; and(B) 40 to 5% by weight of a block polyamide dicarboxylic acid having a mean molecular weight M.sub.n between 1,000 and 8,000 and obtained from omega-amino-carboxylic acids or lactams having 6 to 12 carbon atoms or their mixtures with aromatic or aliphatic dicarboxylic acids.

The polyamides are aliphatic homo- and/or copolyamides having at least six carbon atoms containing functional groups consisting of at least 80% of primary, secondary, or mixtures of primary and secondary amino groups. As the adhesion improving additive there is added from 0.1 to 10% by weight referred to the polyamides of an isophoronediisocyanate capped with lactams, an isophoronediisocyanate capped with acetonoxime or an isophoronediisocyanate capped with an oligomer of acetonoxime.

    摘要: Polylaurolactam powder coating compositions for the coating of metals at high temperatures are obtained by grinding low molecular weight and brittle polylaurolactam with subsequent condensation by heating of the powder to temperatures of below its melting point.A. For the production of pigment free polylaurolactam powders, the low molecular weight granules are ground at temperatures of between 0.degree. and 45.degree. C. which have a relative viscosity of between 1.25 and 1.45 (measured in a 0.5 percent mecresol solution at 25.degree. C.) and have been produced by the polymerization of laurolactam in the presence of 2-10 percent by weight of water, 0.3-0.7 percent by weight of phosphoric acid at temperatures of between 265.degree. and 300.degree. C. in the absence of chain stabilizers under internal pressure, with subsequent granulating, and extraction between 25.degree. and 70.degree. C. with methanol or ethanol. The subsequent condensation is conducted at temperatures of between 140.degree. C. and below the melting point of the polyamide to relative viscosity value of between 1.55 and 1.65; and finally the powders obtained are brought to a particle size distribution of between greater than 60 and less than 350 microns.B. For the production of pigmented polylaurolactam powders, the low molecular weight granules are treated at temperatures of between 110.degree. and 140.degree. C. and pressures of between 5 and 8 bars with the addition of pigments in primary aliphatic alcohols having 1-3 carbon atoms, cyclohexanol, or ethylbutanol, these granules having a relative viscosity of between 1.25 and 1.65 and likewise having been obtained by the polymerization of laurolactam in the presence of 2-10 percent by weight of water, 0.3-0.7 percent by weight of phosphoric acid at temperatures of between 265.degree. and 300.degree. C. in the absence of chain stabilizers under internal pressure, with subsequent granulating, and extraction between 25.degree. and 70.degree. C. with methanol or ethanol. The powders are obtained with gradual cooling to room temperature with a minimum of mechanical motion and these powders are dried, optionally screened and, if necessary, the thus-extracted granules or the dried powders are brought to relative viscosity value of between 1.55 and 1.65 by subsequent condensation at temperatures of between 140.degree. C. and below the melting point of the polyamide.

    摘要: The production of polyester amides based on dicarboxylic acids and/or the esters thereof, primary diamines, and polyhydric alcohols and/or aminocarboxylic acids or lactams, by poly-condensing the mixture under heating in the presence of water, while distilling off the volatile components, and recondensation under reduced pressure is improved so that colorless polyester amides are produced. In a first stage a monomer mixture is preliminarily condensed in the presence of about 3 - 20 percent of water, based on the sum total of the polyamide-forming components, under a pressure of about 14 - 25 bars, at temperatures of about 200.degree. - 300.degree. C and for a time period of about 4 - 12 hours. In a second stage, the mixture is completely condensed, after removal of the water, under a reduced pressure of about 0.01 - 100 mbar at temperatures of about 230.degree. - 300.degree. C and for a period of time of about 1 - 12 hours.

C. and below the melting point of the polyamide.
