    摘要: A method of adjusting or locally modifying the direction of magnetization of a ferromagnetic layer in a magnetoresistive layer system using a heat stamp is described, the ferromagnetic layer being stabilized over an antiferromagnetic layer. The antiferromagnetic layer is heated, using a heat stamp, over a threshold temperature, above which the influence of this layer on the direction of magnetization of the adjacent ferromagnetic layer disappears; subsequently, the ferromagnetic layer is exposed to an external magnetic field of a predefined direction, and finally the antiferromagnetic layer is cooled again below the threshold temperature. In addition, a heat stamp having a base body and a heatable stamp structure connected to the base body and matching the dimensions of or similar to the magnetoresistive layer system is described. The heat stamp and the method described are suitable in particular for manufacturing a magnetoresistive layer system operating by the spin valve principle, which has a plurality of magnetoresistive layer systems having at least partially different resulting directions of magnetization in the particular layers, the magnetoresistive layer systems being interconnected in the form of a Wheatstone bridge in particular.

    摘要: An emanation system is described comprising and emanation device and a replaceable refill of liquid, wherein the refill comprises: a sealed reservoir of a liquid containing one or more active materials wherein the active material comprises at least one of: a fragrance; an insecticide; a fungicide; a pesticide; a sanitizing material; and/or a pharmaceutical; a porous wick having a length which extends from the interior of the reservoir to the exterior thereof; a reservoir seal having at least one aperture through which the porous wick extends; and a hollow liquid conduit housed within the wick having a length substantially identical to the wick; and wherein the device comprises: an air pump; a fluid conduit in fluid communication with the air pump such that, in use, air pumped by the pump will flow through the fluid conduit; a nozzle located at the end of the fluid conduit remote from the air pump; a ejector constriction provided in the fluid conduit adjacent or substantially adjacent the nozzle; a liquid conduit engaging member provided adjacent the ejector constriction and in fluid communication with the fluid conduit at one end thereof, and configured at the other end to, in use, engage the hollow liquid conduit in the refill; characterized in that a mechanism is provided to permit the liquid conduit engagement member to form a liquid tight seal with the liquid conduit.

    摘要: The insulated beverage container is a container, such as a coffee cup, providing thermal insulation for the user's hand. The container includes a vertically extending annular wall and a base, forming a beverage-receiving cup. A plurality of tubes are secured to an outer surface of the annular wall. Each tube is hollow and defines an air passage therein, and is further elongated along the vertical direction, having upper and lower air flow apertures formed therethrough. In use, heat generated by the beverage heats the air contained within the tubes. As the air rises within the tubes, ambient air at a lower temperature is drawn through the lower air flow apertures and the heated air is expelled through the upper air flow apertures, maintaining a flow of cooled air from the environment through the tubes.
