    摘要: According to an example, a three-dimensional (3D) printer may include a delivery device to deposit a light absorbing agent onto selected areas of a layer of build material particles, in which the light absorbing agent absorbs light having wavelengths that are around the ultraviolet wavelength range. The 3D printer may also include a light source to apply light onto the selectively deposited light absorbing agent and the layer of the build material particles, in which the light absorbing agent absorbs light around the ultraviolet wavelength range from the applied light and becomes heated to a temperature that causes the build material particles upon which the light absorbing agent has been deposited to melt and to fuse together following cessation of the application of the light.

The apparatus may also include an actuator to move the chamber with respect to the build platform or vice versa while maintaining the separation between the layer forming station and the heating station.

    摘要: An additive manufacturing method includes: selecting one of a plurality of irradiation modules based on a selected module having a wavelength band tuned for absorption by a fusing agent to be used to form an object by additive manufacture; plugging the selected module into a socket over the build platform; supporting successive, stacked layers of the object being formed on the build platform; using a liquid dispenser mounted on the carriage, selectively dispensing the fusing agent into an uppermost layer of build material in a pattern corresponding to a layer of the object being formed; and fusing the build material by exposing the fusing agent to a first wavelength band from a first irradiation source in the selected module.

The instructions may cause the processor to control at least one energy source to apply energy at a certain low energy level onto a layer of metallic particles, in which the metallic particles have micron-level dimensions, and in which application of the certain low energy level may sinter the metallic particles and may cause formation of physical connections between adjacent ones of the metallic particles. The instructions may also cause the processor to control the at least one energy source to apply energy at a certain high energy level onto the layer of metallic particles, in which application of the certain high energy level energy may melt and fuse the sintered metallic particles.
