Besides, by adding an additional signal before emphasis processing, the waveform deterioration in the end portion of the effective period occurring due to the addition of additional signal after emphasis processing is decreased, and a favorable waveform reproduction is realized over the entire period of the effective portions.

    摘要： To allow the user to specify easily a frame when video, of which the frame rate (or vertical scanning frequency) has been converted, is being edited.A data processor includes: a receiving section for receiving a signal representing first video in which a plurality of pictures are presented at a first frequency; an encoder for generating a data stream representing second video, in which the pictures are presented at a second frequency, different from the first frequency, based on the signal; and a writing section for writing the data stream on a storage medium. The encoder generates picture data about the respective pictures, first time information indicating presentation times at the first frequency, and second time information indicating presentation times at the second frequency, and stores the first time information, the second time information and picture data of the respective pictures to be presented based on the first time information in association with each other, thereby generating the data stream.

    摘要： Files are capable of being exchanged between a broadcast device and a personal computer. In a file of an AV multiplex format, a header (size and type information) of a skip atom of QT is described at the beginning (run-in) that is ignored in an MXF file. An MXF header is described in the skip atom that is skipped over in a QT file. A movie atom and a mdat header of QT are described in a filler that is ignored in the MXF file. In other words, a file header portion of the AV multiplex format satisfies both the structure of the MXF file and the structure of the QT file. With this file structure, a file of the AV multiplex format can be recognized by both an MXF standard basis edit device and a QT software installed PC. The present invention can be applied to a picture record device.

And a TS multiplexing part multiplexes by converting a frequency of a standard STC clock by only a ratio of valid frame-rate and playing frame-rate, and generating values for PCR, PTS, and DTS.

The recording and reproducing apparatus (100) includes: an input unit (130) that receives a request for starting or ending recording a file; and a system control unit (101) that records a header section of the file and a data section following the header section, from the beginning of the block in the recording region, when the request for starting recording is received; and updates the header section and records the updated header section on another cluster different from the cluster on which the header section before update is recorded when the request for ending recording is received. The system control unit (101) further corrects management information indicating a connection order of information recorded on each of the clusters included by the recording medium so that the updated header section is followed by the data section, when the updated header section is recorded on the other cluster.

In this manner, the reproduction apparatus determines whether it can reproduce the edited result.
