    摘要: An air bag device is formed of a first air bag accommodated in a steering pad and receiving an occupant by the inflation and deployment at a collision and a second air bag seamed with a portion of the first air bag and being inflatable in a ring shape to cover a surface of a steering wheel facing to the occupant. The first air bag and the second air bag have gas communicating holes at a seaming portion between them. The first air bag is inflated by introducing gas a gas generating device connected to a gas inlet of said first air bag and the second air bag is inflated at the same time by introducing gas through the gas communicating holes.

    摘要: A container having an inflator is installed to an instrument panel in front of a seat. A rectangular sub bag is mounted to an opening of the container and has a partition panel inside thereof. The partition panel is attached to the sub bag to form first gas communicating paths between the sub bag and the partition panel. A cylindrical main bag has a base portion inserted inside the sub bag and connected to both the sub bag and the partition panel. The main bag has second gas communicating paths communicating to the sub bag disposed between the connection with the sub bag and the connection with the partition panel. Gases spouted from the inflator inflate the sub bag through the first gas communicating paths and then inflate the main bag through the second communicating paths.

    摘要: An impeller is directly driven by an output shaft of a core engine. The airflow produced by the impeller rotates an air turbine and a fan disposed integrally with the air turbine. The impeller and the air turbine form a fluid coupling which serves also as a speed reducing mechanism. The rotational speed of the fan can be reduced to be lower than that of the output shaft while retaining efficiency of the core engine. The outer diameter of the fan can be increased, raising a bypass ratio.

    摘要: A method and apparatus for removing particles from a flexible sheet. The sheet is run over a rotating rod, rotating oppositely to the moment of the sheet. The rod is immersed on its lower side in a bath of solvent and excess solvent is removed from the bath and is filtered. Additionally, solvent may be applied to the sheet before it reaches the rotating rod or a negative pressure applied just upstream of the rod sucks away the particles.

The new chiral phosphinopyrrolidine compounds are useful ligands which attain both of high optical yield and high reaction efficiency in catalytic asymmetric reduction.

    摘要: The invention provides a novel and efficient method for the elimination of protecting groups, e.g. benzyloxycarbonyl group, from a protected amino acid, peptide or derivative thereof having at least one functional group protected by a protecting group, e.g. a lower alkyl ester of N-benzyloxycarbonyl-.alpha.-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine by catalytic hydrogen reduction to produce free amino acid, peptide or derivative thereof. In contrast to the conventional procedures in which the reaction is carried out in a solvent dissolving both the starting compound and the product compound or a solvent dissolving the starting compound but not dissolving the product compound, the inventive method utilizes a binary two-phase reaction medium composed of water and an organic solvent not freely miscible with water such as toluene. The reaction takes place in the organic phase containing the starting compound dissolved and the catalyst dispersed therein whereas the reaction product which is water-soluble is smoothly and successively transferred into the aqueous phase so that advantages are obtained in the unexpectedly high yield of the product as well as in the easiness of handling the reaction mixture after completion of the reaction.
