    摘要: The bearing unit includes a bearing 1 and bearing unit forming component parts such as, for example, a housing 11 in which the bearing is incorporated, a shaft 19, covers 3 and 4 and a sealing member 10 for the housing. In this bearing unit, at least one of the bearing unit forming component parts is fitted with an IC tag 15 and an IC tag 16 is also fitted to the bearing 1. The IC tag 16 fitted to the bearing unit forming component part is of a read/write type whereas the IC tag 16 fitted to the bearing 1 is of a read-only type.     摘要: A bearing assembly includes a full type tapered roller bearing and a roller presser which prevents separation of the rollers not only during transportation but while the outer ring is not mounted. The roller presser includes a ring member, and a plurality of arms extending from one side of the ring member. Each arm is inserted in one of the triangular spaces defined by the tapered raceway of the outer ring and the adjacent tapered rollers. The arms press the rollers against the inner ring. A pair of diametrically opposed bridges are provided, each extending between the free ends of a pair of adjacent arms. The bridges engage two diametrically opposed rollers, thereby preventing separation of the rollers not only during transportation but also while the outer ring is not mounted.

    摘要: A plurality of tapered rollers are retained between an outer ring and an inner ring by a retainer so as to be circumferentially spaced apart from each other. The inner ring is formed with a raceway on its outer surface and includes a small-diameter flange and a large-diameter flange at the small- and large-diameter ends of the raceway, respectively. The retainer includes two annular portions and crossbars extending between the annular portions. Its radially inner surface is located radially inwardly of the pitch cone of the tapered rollers (conical surface defined by the axes of the tapered rollers) to increase the thickness of the crossbars as well as the axial thickness of the small-diameter annular portion. The rigidity of the retainer thus increases. The conical surface defined by the outer surfaces of the crossbars has an inclination angle that is greater than the central angle of the bearing to increase the volume of the crossbars, thereby further increasing the rigidity of the retainer, and also to increase the contact length between the tapered rollers and the crossbars, thereby stabilizing the rotation of the tapered rollers about the axis of the bearing.

    摘要: A roll supporting device for a rolling mill arrangement, supporting rolls rotatably to housings by double row roller bearings or multi-row roller bearings. On surfaces of bearing rings and rollers of the roller bearing are provided carbonitrided layers of 0.80% or greater in carbon content and of Rockwell hardness HRC 58 or greater. The carbonitrided layers are formed to contain residual austenite content of 25-30% by volume. By virtue of the carbonitrided layers, the strength against the surface-initiated type damage to the contact surfaces of the bearing rings and the rollers is improved, so that the enhancement of the life of the roll supporting device, especially the lives of the bearing portions thereof, can be achieved to contribute to the prolongation of inspection and maintenance periods and to the reduction of inspection and maintenance costs.
