The support assembly includes an outer race positioned radially exterior to the bearing such that the outer race supports the bearing. Additionally, the support assembly includes a shape memory alloy damper positioned radially exterior to the outer race and at least partially supporting the outer race. Moreover, the shape memory alloy damper includes a plurality of sleeves. One or more sleeves of the plurality of sleeves include a shape memory alloy material.

摘要: A bearing arrangement for connecting two components including a bearing bushing having an inner sleeve and an elastic element surrounding the inner sleeve. Two connection portions are arranged axially on both sides of the inner sleeve wherein a connector having a shaft portion extending through the inner sleeve applies a clamp force compressing the connection portions axially against the inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is deformed by the clamp force of the connector in such a manner that at least one contact portion of the inner sleeve presses radially to the inside and against the shaft portion.

Embodiments of this method to perform maintenance may include installing a rotor lock to resist rotation of the main shaft during maintenance, providing a lifting device in order to elevate the main shaft, removing the main bearing from its main bearing housing, and installing a replacement split main bearing. A crane may also be installed uptower to assist in the maintenance.

The two affixing plates clamp the outer ring at two clamping surfaces. An axial spacing of the first and second end sides of the bearing support is smaller than an axial spacing of the clamping surfaces of the outer ring, and a spring element configured to act in the axial direction is disposed between one of the two affixing plates and the bearing support.

The spacer includes an annular wall surface that defines an inner periphery of the grease reservoir. An end of the annular wall surface on a side of the rolling bearing in the axial direction of the grease reservoir is continuous with an opposed end face of the spacer that is opposed to the rolling bearing. An entire area of the annular wall surface is constituted by a flat surface.
