摘要： An electroluminescent (EL) device is disclosed and includes an electroluminescent element (9) having a light-emitting surface (91), and a prismatic film (1) having a surface (11) on which a plurality of prisms are provided and a back surface (12) opposed to said surface (11) and being placed on said light-emitting surface (91), wherein the back surface (12) of the prismatic film (1) and said light-emitting-surface (91) of the electroluminescent element (9) are closely bonded optically. The EL device can effectively intensify the light which is emitted in the normal line direction and also in the direction deviating from the normal line, and increase the luminance in the wide observation angle range.

摘要： Luminous retroreflective sheetings have a transparent cover layer, an optical layer disposed beneath the cover layer, and a reflective layer. The optical layer includes a first polymer layer and a monolayer of beads at least partially embedded therein. The reflective layer is disposed proximate a focal plane of the monolayer of beads. The monolayer of beads includes transparent beads that, in combination with the reflective layer, retroreflect incident light. The monolayer also includes light-emitting beads that emit light under the influence of an applied voltage or ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Processes for making such sheetings are also disclosed.

The lining film includes a light-transmitting film which has sealing projections on one of its surfaces so that the prismatic projections are confined within a plurality of sealed cells formed by the sealing projections. In the sealed cells, a surface of the prismatic projections interface with air so as to increase light-emitting luminance and improve its uniformity.

摘要： In an air conditioning apparatus for a vehicle, a blower unit is arranged such that air is discharged in a substantially front and rear direction of the vehicle. An evaporator is opposed to an air discharge port of the blower unit and inclined at an angle equal to or greater than 45 degrees with respect to a horizontal plane. The heater core is arranged horizontally above the blower unit and an end of the heater core is adjacent to an upper end of the evaporator. Further, a slide door is provided downstream of the air discharge port to distribute the air toward the evaporator and the heater core. By this arrangement, dimensions of the air conditioning apparatus are reduced with respect to horizontal and vertical directions. Thus, this compact air conditioning apparatus can be installed in a small space such as in a center console or an interior side trim space.
