摘要： The invention provides a method and an apparatus of making a hole in a printed circuit board, which improve the quality of a hole shape and the processing speed. In accordance with the invention, a control apparatus controls a laser oscillator and a galvano mirrors so as to form a hole while gradually reducing a pulse width in each step with respect to one hole. As a result of this, no insulating material is left on the bottom portion of the hole, and it is possible to make a hole having an intended shape, particularly, having a desired diameter of the hole bottom.

The text memory stores text data inputted as prompted by each of the plurality of prompts associated with the selected label name. Also the text memory retrieves, from a registration layout information memory, print layout information for printing the inputted text data. The print mechanism prints the text data stored in the text memory on a tape based on the print layout information. In this way, a label printed with the text data, that can be adhered to the binding of files and the like, can be produced quickly and easily.

摘要： A printing machine comprising a printing head, a drive unit for printing, a mode setting unit, a data supplying unit, and a controller that controls the print drive unit based on data supplied from the data supplying unit is disclosed. The printing machine may use any one of a plurality of printing heads having different type faces. The printing machine compensates for different line type faces and/or a different type-face layouts between heads. The print drive unit selectively moves one type face on the printing head to a predetermined position above a print paper and prints the character on the paper. The mode setting unit serves to set a mode associated with the printing head in use. The data supplying unit holds data about printing, including line data. When the data from the data supplying unit is line data, the controller selects the type face on the printing head for line printing associated with the line data, based on this line data and the mode set by the mode setting unit, then prints the selected character on the paper at a given position.

The printer has a head-release control device which inhibits the head release mechanism from operating to move the print head to the release position if the space commanding member is momentarily operated, and activates the head release mechanism to move the print head to the release position if the space commanding member is operated continuously.
