    摘要: An image forming apparatus, such as a printer or photocopier, has a cleaning device for cleaning an image carrier. The efficiency with which the cleaning device cleans the image carrier is varied in dependence upon the image forming conditions, to thereby reduce wear on both the cleaning device and the image carrier. In one embodiment, cleaning efficiency is varied by changing the contact pressure between a cleaning blade and the image carrier. In a color apparatus with multiple image-forming units, the image forming conditions relate to whether the image to be formed is monochrome, composite color or simul-color.

    摘要: An alternator is composed of a frame, a rotor rotatably supported in the frame, a stator contained in the frame outside the rotor and other associated components. A front end of the alternator is directly mounted on a mounting surface of an engine having a fairly large size, and a front end of a rotor shaft is directly connected to an engine shaft. The frame includes inlet windows for introducing cooling air into the alternator and outlet windows for exhausting the cooling air after cooling a stator coil and other components in the alternator. The inlet and outlet windows are positioned so that cool air is always introduced into the alternator, preventing hot air once exhausted from the alternator from staying between an engine bracket and the inlet windows and being sucked again into the alternator. Further, the outlet windows are positioned at a radial outside of a front coil end of a stator winding, so that the front coil end is fully exposed to the cooling air.

    摘要: A vehicle alternating current generator increasing the flow of cooling air therethrough and reduces whizzing sounds from cooling windows surrounding the generator's fan. This is done by inclining guide walls separating the cooling windows so that the angle of inclination thereof in the radial direction of the generator is larger the closer the windows are to the forward edge of the housing supports and smaller the closer the windows are to the backward edge of the housing supports. Also, the cooling windows narrow the closer they are to the supports, and are widest in the middle between two adjacent supports. Further, the axial length of the windows may be shorter the closer they are to the supports, and longer in the middle between two adjacent supports.

    摘要: Plastic working method and apparatus are disclosed. The plastic work such as forging is carried out by partial pressing contact of a die with a partial portion of a workpiece. The die is moved in a swinging or circular rocking fashion. The plastic working apparatus comprises a lower die for supporting the workpiece; an upper die swingably provided in a swinging plane about a predetermined position for relatively depressing the workpiece with respect to the lower die in accordance with the swing motion and for performing the plastic work to the workpiece in cooperation with the lower die; and a moving mechanism for relatively moving the workpiece and the upper die within the swing plane during the working operation. A plastic working method comprises the steps of; swinging at predetermined amplitudes the die arranged in confronted relations with the workpiece; and, relatively moving a center of the swing amplitudes of the die relative to the workpiece within its swinging plane, thereby performing the plastic work in response to a shape of a molding die portion of said die.
