    摘要: A recording head adjustment method includes: a dot row forming step of causing relative movement between a recording medium and a recording head in which a plurality of sub-heads each including a plurality of recording elements are joined together, and driving the plurality of recording elements at prescribed drive timing with respect to each of the plurality of sub-heads in such a manner that dot rows for the respective sub-heads are formed in a direction substantially perpendicular to a direction of the relative movement; a step-difference amount calculation step of measuring positions in the direction of the relative movement of the dot rows for the respective sub-heads in a situation where a range of a part of the dot rows formed by an overlapping portion between the mutually adjacent sub-heads where recording rates represented by number of dots per unit surface area are substantially same as each other is set as a measurement object, and obtaining an amount of step difference between the sub-heads represented by difference or ratio of the measured positions in the direction of the relative movement of the dot rows for the respective sub-heads; an adjustment value calculation step of calculating an adjustment value for the drive timing of the plurality of recording elements with respect to each of the plurality of sub-heads according to the obtained amount of step difference; and a drive timing adjustment step of adjusting relative drive timing with respect to each of the plurality of sub-heads according to the calculated adjustment value.

    摘要: The invention relates to a label separating apparatus in which, of labels formed in rows and columns on a continuous substrate being transported along a line of transport, labels found good and labels found defective upon determination of their quality are transported separately. The invention seeks to ensure that all of a plurality of defective labels possibly extant in any one of the rows can concurrently be transferred without fail selectively onto a different line of transport.The apparatus includes a primary conveyer in which a continuous substrate 21A is transported having labels 22A-22D, which are spaced apart from each other by a given distance and arranged in rows and columns, formed thereon and peelably adhered thereto. The primary conveyer includes a transport turn-back member 12A for permitting labels 22A-22D for each row concurrently to peel off the continuous substrate 21. In the apparatus, a label peeled off by the transport turn-back member 12A and found defective is subjected to an air blast by an air-blasting member 15A, 15B, 15C, 15D and is thereby oriented in transport towards a conveyer for defective labels 14 and adhered to on the conveyer for defective labels 14 while it is held by a label holding member 16 formed with an air draining vent 16C.

    摘要: A drive system has an electrically controlled differential portion (11) in which a differential state between an input-shaft rotation speed and an output-shaft rotation speed is controlled upon controlling a first electric motor (M1), and a shifting portion (20) and a second electric motor (M2) disposed in a power transmitting path between the electrically controlled differential portion and drive wheels (34). In a control device for controlling the drive system, a rotation direction of an output shaft (18) of the shifting portion is able to be determined without increasing the number of component parts such as a rotation speed sensor. The control device includes rotation direction determination means (86) for determining a rotation direction of an output shaft (22) of an automatic shifting portion (20) based on an engagement of a given coupling element and a detected result of rotation direction detection means (92). This enables the rotation direction of the output shaft 22 of the automatic shifting portion (20) to be suitably detected without increasing the number of component parts such as the rotation speed sensor.
