    摘要: Provided are an Mn--Zn ferrite in which the core loss is low and Bs is high at high temperatures; a transformer capable of being small-sized and suitable to use at high temperatures; and a method for efficiently driving the transformer. Also provided is a transformer capable of being small-sized and suitable to use in a broad temperature range including high temperatures. Further provided are a high-efficiency transformer capable of being small-sized, in which the core loss in the ferrite core is low and the saturation magnetic flux density is high therein at the temperature at which the transformer is driven; and a high-efficiency driving method for the transformer. Depending on its use, Mn--Zn ferrite to be the ferrite core for the transformers comprises, as the essential components, specific amounts of Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3, ZnO and MnO, and, as the side components, specific amounts of SiO.sub.2, CaCO.sub.3, Nb.sub.2 O.sub.5 and ZrO.sub.2. The core of the transformers is made of the Mn--Zn ferrite.

    摘要: A micro pump which employs magnetostrictive or electrostrictive elements as solid drive elements and is capable of self-priming even though its flow rate is increased. In the pump, disk-shaped valve elements respectively having tapered protrusions on one side are used as check valves to reduce weight and made to follow the motion of liquids so as to smoothly open and close. Retainers for regulating the gap h between the valve seats and the valve elements are respectively provided with tapered recesses for guiding the protrusions of the valve elements, whereby the valves are prevented from contacting the retainers, thus undergoing less friction therewith, to ensure smooth opening and closure of the valves. Moreover, ringlike or sheetlike elastic materials are provided on the bottoms of the recesses to improve responsivity in the direction in which the valves are closed.

A hard X-ray generating device radiates a hard X-ray on the obverse surface of the insulating member from the direction perpendicular to the obverse surface of the insulating member. The hard X-ray generating apparatus radiates a hard X-ray having the wavelength of not less than 0.05 Å but less than 1 Å. The hard X-ray ionizes the air on the obverse surface of the insulating member and neutralizes the charge on the obverse surface of the insulating member, while at the same time neutralizing the charge on the reverse surface of the insulating member by the X-ray transmitted through the insulating member.

    摘要: The record mode setting apparatus comprises a VPS setting switch (41), a VPS decoder (3), a code latch circuit (7), a VPS control circuit (26) and a code memory (27). When the VPS setting switch (41) is turned on while a recording means (16) is ready for recording, the VPS decoder (3) detects a VPS code out of a video signal and the VPS code is stored in the code memory (27). Thereafter, the VPS code detected by the VPS decoder (3) is applied to the code latch circuit (7). The VPS control circuit (26) compares the VPS code of the code latch circuit (7) with the VPS code stored in the code memory (27) and stops the recording means (16) when both do not coincide with each other.

    摘要: The state of combustion oscillation in the combustor of a turbine of a power plant is monitored from a remote monitoring center. To monitor the combustion oscillation state, combustion oscillation data on the combustor is separated into two types of data: the first data obtained on a real-time basis, and the second data including representative values within a predetermined period of time obtained from the first data. In the normal state, a low-speed communications mode is used to send the second data, which is monitored at the monitoring center. If an abnormal state is predicted as a result of monitoring the second data, the high-speed communications mode is used to send the first data, and more detailed combustion oscillation data is monitored at the monitoring center. When a critical state is predicted, an instruction is sent to the local site to switch the operation mode over to the low load operation mode.

    摘要: A monocrystal of a R-T intermetallic compound containing R (at least one lanthanide element inclusive of Y) and T (at least one transition metal element such as Fe, Co, Ni, Cr and Mn) is grown by a solid phase method. First a precursor in which a primary phase of the intermetallic compound and a low-melting eutectic crystal phase exist is prepared. The precursor is successively heated from one end to another end while it is often contacted at one end with a seed crystal. Then the low-melting eutectic crystal phase functions as a flux intergranular substance to ensure the consistent manufacture of a monocrystal aligned with the crystallographic orientation of the seed crystal or at the start-of-heating point.
