    摘要: The invention relates to the field of materials sciences and relates to a method such as can be used, for example, for producing molded articles from metallic glasses. The object of the present invention lies in disclosing a method and an apparatus in which a good mold filling during casting is achieved in addition to high cooling rates. The object is attained by a method in which a metal-containing melt is introduced into an electrically conducting casting mold, the metal-containing melt and the mold being connected in an electrically conducting manner to the outputs of the same voltage source during the introduction into a casting mold, so that a preset current flows through the boundary interface between the melt and the mold. The object is furthermore attained through an apparatus in which there is an electrically conducting connection to a voltage source between a metal-containing melt and an electrically conducting mold for the melt.

    摘要: A mechanism controller for controlling power to motors of a mechanism having several motors, such as a robot. Each motor has a resolver for indicating the motor position. A driver unit is associated with each motor to supply power to the motor. Each driver unit includes a monitoring unit to monitor indications from the resolver of the associated motor. In one embodiment a control unit is connected to the driver units in a series circuit to control power to the motors and to receive the monitored indications from the monitoring units. In a second embodiment, the control unit is connected to the driver units in a ring circuit, rather than in a series circuit. Preferably, each driver unit also includes a memory device, and the control unit can send commands to the driver units and receive data from the driver units in sets equal in number to the number of driver units so that the commands and data do not need to include the addresses of the specific driver units. Alternatively, the commands and data can include a driver unit address so that the commands and data can be individually sent, rather than sent in sets.

    摘要: Methods and apparatus are described for monocular 3D human pose estimation and tracking, which are able to recover poses of people in realistic street conditions captured using a monocular, potentially moving camera. Embodiments of the present invention provide a three-stage process involving estimating (10, 60, 110) a 3D pose of each of the multiple objects using an output of 2D tracking-by detection (50) and 2D viewpoint estimation (46). The present invention provides a sound Bayesian formulation to address the above problems. The present invention can provide articulated 3D tracking in realistic street conditions.The present invention provides methods and apparatus for people detection and 2D pose estimation combined with a dynamic motion prior. The present invention provides not only 2D pose estimation for people in side views, it goes beyond this by estimating poses in 3D from multiple viewpoints. The estimation of poses is done in monocular images, and does not require stereo images. Also the present invention does not require detection of characteristic poses of people.
