Abstract: A resin film with at least 50 wt % of at least one polymerisable vinyl ester prepolymer having at least two carbon-carbon unsaturated functional groups and a curing system, the prepolymer in a concentration of at least 10 wt %, based on the weight of the polymerisable resin, and has the structure R1n-R2-R1′m, wherein R1 and R1′ are the same or different, n and m are each at least one and may be the same or different, and each of R1 and R1′ includes a carbon-carbon unsaturation at a free end thereof remote from R2, and includes a residue of an epoxy resin, and wherein R2 is a polyfunctional chain extending linker between R1 and R1′, and is derived from a polyfunctional carboxylic acid having the structure R-Fnx, where Fn is a carboxylic acid functional group, x is at least 2, and R comprises an organic moiety having aliphatic, araliphatic, cycloaliphatic, heterocyclic and/or aromatic groups, containing any type and/or combination of saturated, unsaturated and/or aromatic carbon bonds, and wherein R may be unsubstituted or substituted by functional groups and/or heteroatoms.

Abstract: A method for connecting insulation panels, each of the panels comprising a cellulosic web having two sides and an outside edge, and comprising layers of cellulosic fibers, the method comprising:
arranging a portion of each panel to be adjacent to the other, thereby forming an edge portion where the two webs can be connected;
relaxing the fibers of cellulosic material in the edge portion of each insulation panel by applying heat to the edge portion at a temperature of 150° F. to 450° F., thereby forming a relaxed fiber edge portion;
compressing the relaxed fiber edge portion of each insulation panel at a pressure of at least 5 psig, thereby forming a compressed panel portion having a thickness and a density; and
fastening the compressed panel portions together using sewing, riveting, adhesive, tape, interlacing, stamping, ply bonding or stapling thereby forming a fastened area,
wherein step (c) can be conducted at the same time or following step (b).-

Abstract: The present application relates to a heatable system suitable for use in a patient contacting plate used in medical imaging. The system comprises a heatable laminated structure with a plurality of layers each of which is transparent to imaging radiation and allows for thermal transfer. A heater layer, located between two of the plurality of layers, comprises an electrically resistive material and is transparent to imaging radiation. The laminated structure further includes a conductive path suitable for use in coupling a voltage source to the electrically resistive material in the heatable laminated structure, whereby the laminated structure is heated when current is passing through the conductive path. Also disclosed is a compression plate system and an imaging medical device comprising the heatable system. Methods of making the heatable system and of using it in medical imaging are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method for the generation of a gas mixture comprising carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide and optionally hydrogen for use in hydroformylation plants or in carbonylation plants, including mixing an optional steam with carbon dioxide in the desired molar ratio, feeding the resulting gas to a solid oxide electrolysis cell (SOEC) or an SOEC stack at a sufficient temperature for the cell or cell stack to operate while effecting a partial conversion of carbon dioxide to carbon monoxide and optionally of steam to hydrogen, removing some or all the remaining steam from the raw product gas stream by cooling the raw product gas stream and separating the remaining product gas from a liquid, and using said gas mixture containing CO and CO2 for liquid phase synthesis reactions utilizing carbon monoxide as one of the reactants while recycling CO2 to the SOEC or SOEC stack.
