    摘要: A fan holder (10) for attaching a fan (30) to a heat sink (40) includes a base (11) defining an opening (18) therethrough, two pairs of hooks (14), two pairs of posts (16) around the opening, a pair of positioning blocks (22), and two pairs of slots (15) defined in the base. The hooks depend from the base, and engage in grooves (46) defined through fins (42) of the heat sink. The posts extend upwardly from the base, and are received in corresponding holes (32) of the fan. Each post has a resilient engaging portion (24) and a notch (25), which allow the engaging portion to elastically compress and firmly attach the fan on the fan holder. The positioning blocks are formed under the base, on opposite sides of the opening. The slots are adjacent the hooks, and allow easy disassembly of the fan holder from the heat sink.

    摘要: A clip (10) for securing a heat sink (30) to an electronic device (40) includes a base (12), a pair of handles (16) and a pressing portion (18). The handles extend outwardly from opposite ends of the base. The base defines a slot (14) for receiving a catch (62) of a retention module (60). The slot includes first and second portion (142, 146) and a neck portion (144) therebetween. Upper limits of all three portions are colinear. The first portion has a vertical width greater than that of the second portion. A triangular protrusion (13) at the neck portion renders the vertical width of he neck portion less than that of both the first and second portions. The pressing portion extends inwardly from a top edge of the base. A pair of resilient tabs (242) depends from the pressing portion, for abutting a groove (36) of the heat sink. The catch is initially received in the first portion of the slot, and then moved over the triangular protrusion to the second portion. The tabs are thereby elastically deformed, and the heat sink is secured to the electronic device.

    摘要: A heat sink assembly includes a heat sink (20) and a pair of clips (10) attached on opposite sides of the heat sink for securing the heat sink to an electronic component (40). The heat sink includes a base (22) and a plurality of fins (24). A pair of protrusions (28) is formed on bottom portions of adjacent two fins. A locking slot (29) is therefore formed between the base, the two adjacent fins, and the protrusions. The clip includes a pressing portion (12) squeenzedly received in the locking slot, a pair of extension portions (14) extending from opposite ends of the pressing portion, and a pair of hooks (16) formed on free ends of the extension portions. When the clips are deformed to cause the hooks to engage with the electronic component, the pressing portions of the clips press the heat sink toward the electronic component.

    摘要: A heat dissipation assembly includes a heat sink (20), a backplate (50), a pair of posts (60) and a fastener (10). The heat sink is attached on a CPU (30) which is mounted on a PCB (40). The backplate is disposed below the PCB. The fastener includes a main body (14) spanning on the heat sink, a resilient member (16) and an operating member (12). The posts extends through the backplate and engaged with the main body. Before the fastener is activated, the resilient member and the operating member squeezes the main body therebetween. When the fastener is activated, the operating member is above the main body. The resilient member resiliently presses the heat sink toward the CPU and the main body with opposite directional forces. The posts are consequently forced by the main body to urge the backplate against the PCB.

    摘要: A heat sink clip assembly (1) for attaching a heat sink (5) on a CPU (7) includes a retention frame (10), and a pair of clips (20) pivotally attached to two sides of the retention frame. Each clip includes a main body (21), and a handle (41) pivotally attached to the main body. The main body includes a cross beam (23), and two locking arms (31) respectively depending from opposite ends of the cross beam. Each locking arm defines a locking hole (33) at a distal end. The handle has a cam portion (47) at one end thereof. The clips are pivoted outwardly to make way for the heat sink to seat on the CPU. Then the clips are pivoted upwardly, so that the cross beam is suspended above the heat sink. The handle is pivoted downwardly so that the cam portion presses the heat sink to the CPU.

A pair of handles (188) extends upwardly from one pair of legs, for facilitating operation of the holder. The posts extend upwardly from the base, for being received in corresponding holes (32) of the fan. Each post has a resilient tab (142), for resiliently and firmly attaching the fan on the holder. The positioning blocks are formed under the base, on opposite sides of the vent.

    摘要: A heat sink clip (4) includes a fastener (42) and a handle (44). The fastener includes a body (46) and first and second arms (54, 56) extending downward from opposite ends of the body. The first and second arms each define an aperture (58) for engaging with a corresponding tab (2) formed on an electronic device retention module (10). A pressing portion (64) is stamped adjacent a horizontal portion (48) of the body. The pressing portion is engagingly received in a slot (26) defined in a heat sink (20), and presses the heat sink against an electronic device (80) positioned in a socket connector adjacent the retention module. The handle has an operation section (72) and a joint section (74) extending downward from the operation section. The joint section forms a pair of vertical hems (76) at respective opposite sides thereof which extend toward each other to define a space (78). The space interferentially receives protrusions (62) formed on the second arm, whereby the handle is attached to the fastener.

    摘要: An adjustable equalizer that includes a first branch including a low pass filter (LPF) and having a variable gain (β), and a second branch including a high pass filter (HPF) and having another variable gain (α). The equalizer can be implemented using CMOS technology so that the gain parameters β and α are independently adjustable and the equalizer is capable of equalizing an input indicative of data having a maximum data rate of at least 1 Gb/s. In some embodiments, the equalizer includes two differential pairs of MOS transistors and a controllable current source determines the tail current for each differential pair. When the equalizer includes purely resistive impedances Z0 and Z1, the equalizer's transfer function is Z1/Z0·(β+α·(1+s·C0·Z0)), where β is a gain parameter determined by the tail current of one differential pair and α is a gain parameter determined by the tail current of the other differential pair.
