摘要： Disclosed herein is a method and system for Mobile Internet Protocol version 4 (MIPv4)-based fast handoff between heterogeneous networks. The method includes the first step of an Mobile Station (MS) acquiring information about a second Foreign Agent (FA) pertaining to a second wireless network to be newly accessed from a first FA pertaining to a first wireless network that is different from the first wireless network and is previously accessed; the second step of the MS requesting registration from an integrated Home Agent (HA) through the first FA and the second FA; the third step of generating a temporary tunnel between the first FA and the second FA; and the fourth step of the HA transmitting a reply to the registration request to the MS through the second FA.

摘要： A system and method for handing off from a first network to a second network. A determination may be made as to whether an accessible base station of the second network is located in the vicinity of a user equipment based on information on a current location of the user equipment in the first network. An activation call may be generated with a first telephone number as a caller number when an accessible base station of the second network is located in the vicinity of the user equipment based on the determination result. The activation call indicates an initiation of a search for an accessible base station of the second network, and an accessible base station of the second network may be searched for when the activation call with the first telephone number is received. A handoff from the first network to the second network may then be executed when the accessible base station of the second network is located.

摘要： A detecting apparatus and method of a robot cleaner is disclosed. The apparatus includes a detecting unit provided with a transmitting unit for sending a signal to detect the floor and a receiving unit for receiving a signal sent from the transmitting unit to be reflected on the floors an optic angle adjusting unit disposed at least one of the transmitting unit and the receiving unit and configured to adjust optic angles of the signals, and a light shielding unit configured to partially shield a signal sent through the optic angle adjusting unit in order to reduce a deviation of each signal of the transmitting unit and the receiving unit. Accordingly, a measurement deviation with respect to color and feel of the floor can be reduced. Also, an amount of light received at the receiving unit can be obtained as much as required, which allows an accurate detection of the detecting apparatus. In addition, even if there are both drop-off and bump on the floor, the robot cleaner can smoothly operate.

摘要： An apparatus and method for localizing a sound source in a robot are provided. The apparatus includes a microphone unit implemented by one or more microphones, which picks up a sound from a three-dimensional space. The apparatus also includes a sound source localizer for determining a position of the sound source in accordance with Time-Difference of Arrivals (TDOAs) and a highest power of the sound picked up by the microphone unit. Thus, the robot can rapidly and accurately localize the sound source in the three-dimensional space with minimum dead space, using a minimum number of microphones.
