Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, storage media, and systems for determining that a first physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource and a second PUCCH resource at least partially overlap, where the first PUCCH resource has a payload of a first size carrying a first uplink control information (UCI) in a first format, and the second PUCCH resource has a payload of a second size carrying a second UCI in a second format. Furthermore, the first UCI and the second UCI are multiplexed to form a combined payload to be carried by the first PUCCH resource in the first format or by the second PUCCH resource in the second format. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) and a Radio Access Network (RAN) node may be configured to use multiple Scheduling Request (SR) configurations. A SR configuration may indicate to radio resources to be used to communicate a SR to the RAN node. The RAN node may provide UE with information associating logical channels to SR configurations. When the UE has data to transmit to the RAN node, the UE may determine the logical channel corresponding to the data, determine the SR configuration corresponding to the logical channel, and communicate a SR to the RAN node in accordance with the SR configuration. Upon receiving the SR, the RAN node determine the SR configuration used to transmit the SR and in turn determine the logical channel for which the SR was transmitted. The RAN node may then transmit an Uplink (UL) grant for the logical channel to the UE.

Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) comprises one or more baseband processors to process payload size comprising a number of feedback bits for a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) configuration received from a New Radio (NR) NodeB (gNB) for physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission without grant, and to determine a size of reserved resource elements (REs) and mapping pattern in accordance with the configured HARQ-ACK payload size, and to transmit uplink shared channel on PUSCH without grant which is rate-matched around the reserved REs. The UE alternatively comprises one or more baseband processors to process a downlink control information (DCI) grant received from a to schedule a PUSCH transmission, wherein the one or more baseband processors are configured for dynamic DCI grant overwriting to process a dynamic indication to interrupt the scheduled PUSCH transmission.

Abstract: Techniques discussed herein can facilitate multi-transmission reception point (multi-TRP) operation for new radio (NR). One example apparatus may be employed at a user equipment (UE), and may comprise: an interface configured to enable the UE to communicate with two or more TRPs; and a processor that is configured to generate uplink control information (UCI) for each of the TRPs, schedule single or multiple uplink channels to carry the UCI, so that the UCI is transmitted individually or in combination to the TRPs via the interface, wherein the uplink channels comprise NR physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) and/or NR physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). Techniques discussed herein also can facilitate demodulation reference signal design for short physical uplink control channel carrying more than 2-bit UCI for new radio.

The one or more processors are configured to identify a plurality of monitoring occasions for a set of flexible control resource sets (CORESET); determine bit ordering for the plurality of monitoring occasions; generate hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback based on the received downlink transmission; and incorporate the ordered plurality of monitoring occasions into the HARQ feedback.
