摘要: Transfer mechanism (20) is provided for reciprocally transferring a bobbin grasping device (10), grasping a bobbin case (B) at the distal end of a chuck section (11), between a rotary hook (6) of a sewing machine and a bobbin stock section (8). First cam plate (31) is provided adjacent to one end for orienting the chuck section (11) toward the rotary hook (6) during the transfer, while a second cam plate (41) is provided adjacent to the other end for orienting the chuck section (11) toward the bobbin stock section (8) during the transfer. The cam plates (31, 41) are detachable from the transfer mechanism (20), and, in transportation of the machine, one of the cam plates is transported as an attachment to a main sewing table, while the other plate is transported as an attachment to an extension sewing table. The bobbin grasping device (10) includes a moving body section (13), chuck section (11), and a spring member (19) for normally biasing the chuck section toward a predetermined neutral position.

摘要: Rotary hook drive device for a sewing machine includes: a rotary hook rotatably provided on a rotary hook support; a cylindrical grooved cam provided on a drive shaft drivable to rotate in one direction; a cam follower engaged in a cam groove of the cylindrical grooved cam and capable of making reciprocative movement about a support shaft in response to rotation of the cylindrical grooved cam; and a transmission mechanism that transmits the reciprocative movement of the cam follower to the rotary hook to cause the rotary hook to make reciprocative pivoting movement. Such arrangements can prevent deviation in driving timing of the rotary hook and simplify the construction of the rotary hook drive device.

After a sewing needle (31) fits into a hole (61) of a leading sequin (S′) as a needle bar (31) descends in accordance with sewing operation, a movable cutter blade cuts off the leading sequin (S′) by being driven downward by abutment against the needle bar (31) or a member (32) movable with the needle bar (31). Sequin-cutting portion (27a) of the movable cutter blade (27) has a thickness smaller than a thickness of an abutting portion (27b) that abuts against the needle bar (31) or the member (32) movable with the needle bar (31), to secure an appropriate strength. For example, the movable cutter blade (27) is shaped such that the thickness of a particular region, corresponding to a needle drop position, of the movable cutter blade (27) is reduced, and that, when the movable cutter blade (27) is in a posture before abutting against the needle bar (31) or the member (32) movable with the needle bar, an upper region (u) of the thickness-reduced sequin-cutting portion (27a) is located below an uppermost region (T) of the abutting portion (27b) not reduced in thickness.

When predetermined-pitch feeding, by the feed lever, of the continuous sequin strip has been completed, the engaging claw (33a) of the lock lever is caused to engage a center hole following the center hole engaged by the hook portion of the feed lever, to thereby immovably lock the continuous sequin strip.

摘要: In a frame movement command device for an embroidery machine, which device can control the movement of an embroidery frame based upon signals that are outputted from a frame drive means when a frame movement command switch is operated, the frame movement command switch includes a single operation portion that is operable to incline in a plurality of directions, and the frame drive means outputs signals in order to move the embroidery frame in directions that correspond to the inclined directions of the operation portion.According to this construction, by inclining the single operation portion of the frame movement command switch in the plurality of directions, the embroidery frame can move in directions that correspond to the inclined directions. Therefore, the operator can accurately operate the switch in order to move the embroidery frame toward a desired position, which depends only on the feeling of his or her fingertips touching the operation portion without viewing the frame movement command switch. Therefore, the operator can move the embroidery frame in the intended direction while observing a point adjacent to the lower side of a sewing head.

摘要: A thread take-up lever guard in a multi-needle sewing machine provided with a support disposed on the front surface of a head, a plurality of needle bars each having a needle attached to the lower end, and a plurality of thread take-up levers disposed to oppose the needle bars respectively and protruded from the support to be able to oscillate vertically. The thread take-up lever guard prevents a needle thread carried on a selected thread take-up lever from being caught by an adjacent thread take-up lever assuming a standing posture or is tangled with another needle thread carried on the standing thread take-up lever. The thread take-up lever guard comprises a separator disposed on the support such that every adjacent two thread take-up levers may be isolated from each other over a predetermined range of routes along which the take-up levers reciprocate. The separators are notched at positions where thread holes of the thread take-up levers are situated when the thread take-up levers are assuming predetermined standing postures.

摘要: A thread cutting device includes a movable knife positioned below a throat plate and movable from a first position to a thread cutting position via a second position for separating the upper fabric thread and the upper needle thread from each other within the range where the movable knife may engage the upper fabric thread and the upper needle thread but may not engage or cut the lower thread. The movable knife includes an engaging portion for engagement with the upper needle thread on the side toward the second position and a cutting edge on the opposite side. The movable knife also includes a thread separating portion for separation of the upper fabric thread and the upper needle thread between the needle hole and the bobbin holder from each other toward the cutting edge and the engaging portion, respectively, when the movable knife moves from the first position to the second position. A fixed knife is positioned below the throat plate for cooperation with the movable knife at the thread cutting position, so that the upper fabric thread can be cut when the movable knife is moved from the second posiiton to the cutting position. A lower thread guide is positioned below the throat plate and operable to selectively move the lower thread existing between the needle hole and the bobbin holder within the range where the movable knife passes when the movable knife moves from the second position to the cutting position, thereby permitting cutting of both the upper fabric thread and the lower thread.

摘要: Control data such as data designating the order of changing color of thread, conversion parameter designating reducing or enlarging of an embroidery design and data designating the number of repetition of the same design are set to desired states and these control data are stored in a memory in correspondence to storage of stitch data of a desired embroidery design. Further, for editing the embroidery design, running of the embroidering machine can be temporarily stopped at a desired stitch during running for actual embroidering operation to change the operation mode to an embroidery design data editing mode while confirming an actually embroidered design pattern. During this temporary stopping, data editing processing such as changing, deletion or insertion of stitch data at the desired stitch is executed. Further, a desired embroidery design can be displayed and stitch data editing processing such as setting or changing of function data concerning a desired stitch can be made while confirming the embroidery design by watching this display. Furthermore, the embroidering machine can be provided with a function to communicate with an external device and stitch data and control data can be transmitted and received by utilizing this communication function.
