Abstract: Various principles and methods are described herein to improve wireless communication in a user computing device. Certain aspects of the disclosure describe management of wireless transmissions relative to various regulations related to a specific absorption rate. Abstract: A wave launcher may include a printed circuit board (PCB) that includes a pin that receives a radio frequency (RF) signal. The wave launcher may include a cylinder configured to be electrically coupled to the pin and define an opening. The cylinder may receive the RF signal from the pin, form a transition from coplanar to Goubau line structure with a plate, and generate the surface wave. The wave launcher may include an insulator configured to be physically positioned within the opening and between the cylinder and a power line. The insulator may mechanically isolate the cylinder from the power line and permit the cylinder to launch the surface wave on the power line. The wave launcher may include the plate electrically coupled to a pad and may provide a reference for the pin and the cylinder. The pin and the cylinder may be physically positioned proximate the plate.

Abstract: A wireless modem device. The device includes a plurality of transceivers, a plurality of antenna ports, a plurality of RF multiplexers, and a plurality of switches. Each transceiver is configured to process a radio frequency (RF) signal in a specific frequency band. Each antenna port is coupled to one of a plurality of antennas. Each RF multiplexer is configured to split an RF signal received via a common port of the RF multiplexer to one of frequency-specific ports of the RF multiplexer based on a frequency band of the RF signal and combine RF signals received via the frequency-specific ports into the common port, wherein the common port of each RF multiplexer is coupled to one of the antenna ports. Abstract: A wireless communication device including a processor; a memory, coupled to the processor, to store instructions, which when executed by the processor, cause the processor to: connect an antenna to an energy harvesting (EH) circuit, wherein the antenna is configured to capture a Wi-Fi radio frequency (RF) signal; send the Wi-Fi RF signal to the EH circuit; determine a RF signal strength of the Wi-Fi RF signal; and determine a location of the wireless communication device based on the RF signal strength.
