摘要: Methods, software, and devices for requesting approvals for a proposed contract from a plurality of hierarchical decision-makers are disclosed. A plurality of contract parameters of the proposed contract are received. Using the parameters, those decision-makers from whom approval of the proposed contract is required are automatically identified by comparing those parameters to stored approval criteria. An electronic representation of differences between the plurality of contract parameters and a prior-received contract parameters is generated. Identified decision-makers are arranged in a defined hierarchical order. The generated electronic representation of differences is electronically communication to the first identified decision-maker in the hierarchy, as ordered. Approval by the first identified decision-maker is received by electronic notification. Sending the generated electronic representation of differences and receiving approval are repeated for each subsequent decision-maker, as ordered. Ultimately, electronic notification of approval may be provided to at least one stakeholder.

摘要: Micro-spectral sensors and methods are presented in which a Fizeau wedge interference filter is disposed between a focal plane array and a visible scene with an increasing wedge filter dimension varying along a scan direction, where the scene is scanned along the FPA to obtain light intensity measurements of a given scene location at different times using different FPA sensor elements through different wedge filter thicknesses, and the measurements correlated to the given scene location are Fourier transform to generate spectral data for the location.

摘要: Techniques to access messaging services for branch offices are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may include a network interface for a packet-switched network, a private branch exchange for a circuit-switched network, and a gateway to couple to the network interface and the private branch exchange. The gateway may be operative to establish a packet-switched call connection with the network interface and a circuit-switched call connection with the private branch exchange. The gateway may further include a call router to route a call request over a circuit-switched network with the private branch exchange on behalf of a call terminal to access messaging services from a data center with a messaging server when the call terminal and the network interface are unavailable. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

摘要: In one aspect the invention provides a method of addressing users in a messaging architecture comprising a plurality of voice messaging systems each associated with one or more users, the method comprising, at a selected messaging system: defining at least one user group; allocating users of the messaging architecture to a user group; and allocating an addressing rule to each user group, wherein a subscriber in the messaging architecture is addressed in dependence on the subscriber rule.

摘要: An arm restraint device and method for use by EMS workers to restrain the arms of a patient lying on a backboard, gurney, or similar immobilizing transport device. A strap having two outer loops for encircling each arm is joined by centrally located buckles. Each loop is placed over a patient's arms and positioned slightly above the elbow. A single pull of the strap between the buckles defining the two outer loops adjusts the outer loops to secure the patient's arms. The patient's arms are held parallel to the patient's sides but remain accessible to EMS workers even while restrained. The restraint device functions independently of the other straps on the immobilizing transport device to allow repositioning of the restraint without loosening the other straps and risking unexpected movement of the patient.
