    摘要: An accessory system for a ductwork cleaning machine that utilizes a vacuum hose having a rotating cleaning brush the vacuum and the power for the rotating brush being supplied from a remote power unit with a rotating drive cable being located within the vacuum hose. The accessories permit more efficient operation of the ductwork cleaning system. The first accessory is an improved nozzle for mounting the rotating brush which permits large vacuum openings without the risk of an operator becoming entangled with the rotating cable. A second accessory prevents the cable from withdrawing within the vacuum hose when the hose is disconnected from the power unit. The third to accessory is attached to the power unit and guides the guide cable into place as the vacuum hose is attached to the power unit.

    摘要: An improved cleaning fluid supply housing assembly for a cascade-type substrate scrubber having a sliding piston configured with a flange with recesses so that the piston is out of contact with the rotating part of the brush core mandrel bearing assembly. Rather, the piston flange outer face only contacts the stationary outer race of the mandrel bearing. The water supply piston is also configured with a full bore to minimize the pressure on the end of the mandrel. A tolerance-controlled leak through the bearing is provided by the configuration of the piston flange to provide a flushing of the area in which wear might be a source of particle generation by a controlled tolerance leak upstream of the brushes. These features substantially eliminate the source of particle generation from contact wear and the contribution of such wear particles into the interface between the brush and the substrate surface being cleaned.

    摘要: A dispenser is provided for delivering a controlled quantity of a granular material. The dispenser includes a container assembly, a diffuser and a metering cup. The container includes a reservoir which supports a disposable cartridge of granular material. The cartridge is supported in the reservoir so as to define a passageway therebetween. A nozzle is defined for the outflow of material from the cartridge. The diffuser is disposed on one end of the container and includes a plurality of apertures. The metering cup is disposed on the opposite end of the container and has an open end adapted to receive granular material. Adjustment of the axial spacing between the nozzle and metering cup varies the quantity of granular material collected in the cup. The granular material is dispensed by inverting the container to a second orientation, such that material flows out of the metering cup, through the passageway and out of the diffuser. The nozzle may serve as a piercing mechanism for opening the disposable cartridge upon its insertion into the reservoir.
