    Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device with a sensor includes: a first substrate; detection electrodes arrayed in a matrix in a first direction and a second direction intersecting the first direction above the first substrate; sensor wires coupled to one of the detection electrodes; pixels each including sub-pixels and arrayed in a matrix in the first and second directions; scanning lines scanning switching elements of the sub-pixels and extending in the first direction; and signal lines coupled to the switching elements and extending in the second direction. One of the sensor wires overlaps one of the signal lines. The sensor wires each have, at a part thereof, a coupling part coupled to the corresponding detection electrode. The pixels include a first pixel with the coupling part and a second pixel without the coupling part. The first and second pixels are alternately disposed in the first and second directions.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a first pixel including a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, and a third sub-pixel; and a second pixel including the first sub-pixel, the second sub-pixel, and a fourth sub-pixel. The first pixel and the second pixel are alternately arranged in a row direction and a column direction. The third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel are alternately arranged in the column direction. A branch electrode in one of two first sub-pixels adjacent in the column direction extends in a first direction, and a branch electrode in the other thereof extends in a second direction. A branch electrode in one of two second sub-pixels adjacent in the column direction extends in the first direction, and a branch electrode in the other thereof extends in the second direction. Each branch electrode in the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel includes a bending portion.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device comprises first and second substrates and a liquid crystal layer. The first substrate includes a pixel electrode and a common electrode. The second substrate is opposed to the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is between the first substrate and the second substrate. A frame frequency for rewriting a voltage of the pixel electrode is 80 Hz or more. A liquid crystal material contained in the liquid crystal layer has negative dielectric anisotropy. Product Δnd of a gap d between the first substrate and the second substrate and refractive anisotropy Δn of the liquid crystal material is less than 0.33 μm. The gap d is more than 2 μm and less than 3 μm.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a first substrate includes a sub-pixel electrode extending in a first direction, a first main pixel electrode connected with one end of the sub-pixel electrode and extending in a second direction orthogonally crossing the first direction, and a second main pixel electrode connected with the other end of the sub-pixel electrode and extending in the second direction.     Abstract: According to one embodiment, a liquid crystal display apparatus includes a first substrate including a first electrode and an insulating layer arranged so as to cover an edge of the first electrode, a second substrate including a second electrode facing the first electrode and a second slit from which the second electrode is removed, and a liquid crystal layer interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first electrode includes a plurality of first slits extending inwardly from the edge of the first electrode. The insulating layer and the plurality of first slits are arranged such that a position of an end of the insulating layer and a position of a tip to which the first slit extends are apart from each other in a region between the edge of the first electrode and the second slit in a direction in which the first slit extends.

    Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes first and second substrates. The first substrate includes a pixel electrode having a main pixel electrode in the shape of a belt and a first alignment film covering the pixel electrode. The first alignment film is alignment processed in a first alignment treatment direction substantially in parallel with an extending direction of the main pixel electrode. The second substrate includes a common electrode arranged on both sides sandwiching the pixel electrode and extending substantially in parallel with the extending direction of the main pixel electrode. A sub-common electrode extends in a direction crossing the extending direction of the main pixel electrode on one end side of the main pixel electrode located on a starting side of the first alignment treatment direction. A second alignment film is alignment processed in a second alignment treatment direction substantially in the same direction as the first alignment treatment direction.
