摘要: A passive NOx adsorber is disclosed. The passive NOx adsorber is effective to adsorb NOx at or below a low temperature and release the adsorbed NOx at temperatures above the low temperature. The passive NOx adsorber comprises a noble metal and a small pore molecular sieve. The small pore molecular sieve has a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms. The invention also includes an exhaust system comprising the passive NOx adsorber, and a method for treating exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine utilizing the passive NOx adsorber.

摘要: A catalyst article including a substrate with an inlet side and an outlet side, a first zone and a second zone, where the first zone comprises a passive NOx adsorber (PNA) comprising a platinum group metal and a base metal, both on a molecular sieve, and an ammonia slip catalyst (ASC) comprising an oxidation catalyst comprising a platinum group metal on a support, and a first SCR catalyst; where the second zone comprises a catalyst selected from the group consisting of a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and a diesel exotherm catalyst (DEC); and where the first zone is located upstream of the second zone. The first zone may include a bottom layer including a blend of: (1) the oxidation catalyst and (2) the first SCR catalyst; and a top layer including a second SCR catalyst, the top layer located over the bottom layer.

摘要: Exhaust gas catalysts are disclosed. One exhaust gas catalyst comprises a noble metal and a molecular sieve, and has an infrared spectrum having a characteristic absorption peak from 750 cm−1 to 1050 cm−1 in addition to the absorption peaks for the molecular sieve itself. The exhaust gas catalyst also comprises a noble metal and a molecular sieve, having greater than 5 percent of the noble metal amount located inside pores of the molecular sieve. The exhaust gas catalyst also comprises a first and second molecular sieve catalyst. The first molecular sieve catalyst comprises a first noble metal and a first molecular sieve, and the second molecular sieve catalyst comprises a second noble metal and a second molecular sieve. The first and second molecular sieves are different. The invention also includes exhaust systems comprising the exhaust gas catalysts, and a method for treating exhaust gas utilizing the exhaust gas catalysts.

摘要: A cold start catalyst is disclosed. The cold start catalyst is effective to adsorb NOx and hydrocarbons (HC) at or below a low temperature and to covert and release the adsorbed NOx and HC at temperatures above the low temperature. The cold start catalyst comprises a molecular sieve catalyst and a supported platinum group metal catalyst. The molecular sieve catalyst consists essentially of a noble metal and a molecular sieve. The supported platinum group metal catalyst comprises one or more platinum group metals and one or more inorganic oxide carriers. The invention also includes an exhaust system comprising the cold start catalyst, and a method for treating exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine utilizing the cold start catalyst.
