Abstract: The present disclosure provides molecular sieves with intergrown phases of AEI and CHA topologies and a catalyst thereof. A preparation method for the molecular sieves include the following steps: mixing a hydroxyphosphono organic alkali R with an aluminum source and a silicon source to obtain a sol-gel precursor, putting the sol-gel precursor into a closed hydrothermal synthesis reactor for reaction, filtering the reaction solution, washing, drying, and calcination to obtain the molecular sieves with intergrown phases of AEI and CHA topologies. The molecular sieves and the catalyst thereof can be directly synthesized under mild conditions with a hydroxyphosphono organic alkali as a structure-directing agent and a phosphorus source, have a pH value of 6-9 and low requirements for corrosion resistance of production devices, and are suitable for large-scale production.

Abstract: Catalyst composition which comprises a first zeolite having a BEA* framework type and a second zeolite having a MOR framework type and a mesopore surface area of greater than 30 m2/g is disclosed. These catalyst compositions are used to remove catalyst poisons from untreated feed streams having one or more impurities which cause deactivation of the downstream catalysts employed in hydrocarbon conversion processes, such as those that produce mono-alkylated aromatic compounds.

Abstract: A molecular sieve of MFI structure has a ratio of n(SiO2)/n(Al2O3) of more than 15 and less than 70. It has a content of phosphorus of 1-15 wt %, calculated as P2O5 and based on the dry weight of the molecular sieve and a content of the supported metal in the molecular sieve 1-10 wt % based on the oxide of the supported metal and the dry weight of the molecular sieve. The supported metal is one or two selected from lanthanum and cerium. The volume of mesopores in the molecular sieve represents 40-70% by volume of the total pore volume of the molecular sieve by volume, measured by a nitrogen adsorption BET specific surface area method, and the volume of mesopores means the pore volume of the pores having a diameter of more than 2 nm and less than 100 nm.

Abstract: Catalysts and methods for use in conversion of glycerides and free fatty acids to biodiesel are described. A batch or continuous process may be used with the catalysts for transesterification of triglycerides with an alkyl alcohol to produce corresponding mono carboxylic acid esters and glycerol in high yields and purity. Similarly, alkyl and aryl carboxylic acids and free fatty acids are also converted to corresponding alkyl esters. Catalysts are capable of simultaneous esterification and transesterification under same process conditions. The described catalysts are thermostable, long lasting, and highly active.

Abstract: A process for converting crude oil may comprise contacting a crude oil with one or more hydroprocessing catalysts to produce a hydroprocessed effluent and contacting the hydroprocessed effluent with a fluidized catalytic cracking (FCC) catalyst composition in an FCC system to produce cracked effluent comprising at least olefins. The crude oil may have an API gravity from 25 to 29. The FCC system may operate at a temperature of greater than or equal to 580° C., a weight ratio of the FCC catalyst composition to the crude oil of from 2:1 to 10:1, and a residence time of from 0.1 seconds to 60 seconds. The FCC catalyst composition may comprise ultrastable Y-type zeolite (USY zeolite) impregnated with lanthanum; ZSM-5 zeolite impregnated with phosphorous; an alumina binder; colloidal silica; and a matrix material comprising Kaolin clay.

Abstract: Disclosed herein in certain embodiments is a fluid catalyst cracking (FCC) additive composition that includes a first component, a second component, and optionally a third component. The first component includes beta zeolite and a first matrix. The second component includes ZSM-5 zeolite and a second matrix. The third component includes Y zeolite and a third matrix. The components are present in the additive composition in a range that provides for enhanced butylenes to propylene selectivity ratio and total butylenes yield when catalytically cracking a hydrocarbon feed.

Abstract: A phosphorus- and metal-containing core-shell molecular sieve has a core composed of a ZSM-5 molecular sieve, and a shell composed of a β molecular sieve. The phosphorus- and metal-containing core-shell molecular sieve has a phosphorus content, calculated as P2O5, of 1-10 wt %, and a metal content, calculated as metal oxide, of 0.1-10 wt %, based on the dry weight of the phosphorus- and metal-containing core-shell molecular sieve. It shows an 27Al MAS NMR with a ratio of the area of a resonance signal peak at a chemical shift of 39±3 ppm to the area of a resonance signal peak at a chemical shift of 54±3 ppm of 0.01-∞:1.
